We came to Ilan for vacation. As a pet owner, we usually stayed with pet allowed B&B while traveling around until this time. To our surprise, this hotel is pet welcoming. The staff even sheltered stray cats just before we got there. ||Staff are friendly and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel, heavy rain poured. A staff had an umbrella ready when we stopped our car in front of the hotel. We've only seen this at some 4 or 5 star hotels. This showed that the staff at this hotel are well trained. In addition, the labor relations must be good here at the hotel because there's a number of employees who have worked here for a decade or more. This means that the benefits are above the average. Besides, the hotel owner is so nice that he hosts activities regularly for employees. The second night of our stay, we were invited to a BBQ party, which was hosted by the owner every year for the hotel staff, and guests are welcomed to join. It was very interesting and fun. ||Hotels in this area are famous for hot spring. This hotel features a hot spring sauna, which is especially enjoyable should you like relaxation. Afternoon tea is good, too. ||Generally speaking, the room was comfortable. However, we saw stains on the carpets of the public areas. Furnitures in the room are made of teak, though the styles are old fashion. Breakfast was alright. There were plenty of options, though the foods and drinks served were mostly Taiwanese style. You may be disappointed if you are...
Read moreFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub. The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working. There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. "if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first."Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite...
Read moreWe have book from booking and the hotel a couple of day before call us to transfer the money to they bank accounts, we refuse as we say that Booking.com has our credit card number. A few days before we got to the hotel around 4pm and our room still no available, so we have wait around 30’ to get a room 902 Bathroom are so tiny. The room soundproofing is the worse that I found.. we could not turn on the TV as the sound bothered the customers of the next Room. Also room window does not close well so cold air comes from outside and This área in winter are quite cold. And the worse thing is there are rain water filled from the wall. So almost all the headboard wall are totally wet, as the weekend that we been rained. Breakfast are quite poor and not very clean. The location was very good close to main road. ||I think the price and the quality range that this hotel offering is huge. I have been in B&B better than this place. We have payed quite a lot as the room does not deserves it. Our room was the 902. I just hope that the humidity and the rain water filled the wall was only...
