Location very good, near eatery places and just beside "fishes spa" for legs.|Pros - clean rooms, shuttle car to pick and send u to bus/stations but have to book 1 day in advance, we have booked the pick-up in advance but not the sending... because we check out early at around 11am instead of 12, so last minute they still able to send us to bus station provided their slot is empty if not we have to wait till 2pm or hire a cab cause they only own 1 car to do the transfer. Quite like the breakfast with the consideration of a not very big hotel but the option from a variety porridge, rice and pastries can be consider a luxury.|Cons - we have made a booking of family rooms for 4 adults for 3 nights thru Agoda cause they have no option adding of adding a child or adult, as a result when we checked in, we have to pay NT 2,400 more for a 8yrs old child with extra bed and breakfast..so actually exceed our budget.|- the windows in the toilets can actually see thru from outside the buildings( I only discovered when I look at the building in the night), so make sure u draw the curtains if u are not properly dressed or soak in the tub with towels or swimsuit b4 u undraw the curtain to enjoy...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights while we looked around Yilan. To be honest our first impressions of the hotel were not that good - the rooms do look quite old and tired, although they are very large. The hotel definitely has some good points though:||||* there is a large hot-spring bath in each bathroom. Be warned though that this takes quite a long time to fill so patience is required! ||||* The breakfast buffet is excellent.||||* the hotel is only 5 or so walk from the Jiaoxi train station and the main part of town. There's plenty to see/do. ||||A few things to be wary of though - as noted the rooms/furnishings are quite old and look a bit tired. There's only one elevator and it is a bit small/cramped. Also there is a bit of luck involved getting the right room - the rooms on the northeastern side of the building look directly at the hotel/high-rise next door and so have no scenic view at all. The northwestern-side rooms have a much better view. Also there's no safe provided for valuables which is a slight shame.||||Overall though this was very well-priced...

The separate hot pool and bathroom area was nice, and the corner room had good views. A little odd though to have to close the curtains to use the toilet! My main issue was that the bathroom had very obviously had someone smoking in it recently. When I arrived my room had a hint of smokiness and I queried this. Of course I was told that the hotel is non-smoking! Instead of a room change I was offered air freshener and a scented candle. I eventually realised the issue was in the bathroom - the smokey smell clung to the walls and curtains, and affected the main room. A common issue still in Taiwan, more needs to be done by hotels to impress upon guests that smoking in hotel rooms is no longer acceptable. Breakfast was a good selection. The hotel is a short walk from the train station although a shuttle is available if pre-booked. The in-room hot pool was very nice and the hotel is also not far from...
