I'm not quite sure what part of this hotel is "sophisticated," but if whoever wrote the hotel details meant the management tried very hard to stuff everything into a very limited space, yes, they did. My wife and I were one of the first to visit this hotel when they opened a few years ago, and we had stayed at this hotel a few times in the past few years. I think the owner of this hotel was pretty ambitious about this hotel, because they tried to fit everything in and cater to everyone. For example, they have a whole section devoted to children's play area on the ninth floor, and their suites are decorated with lego-knock-off blocks, which they sell at the front desk as well. At the same time, they sell expensive pu'er tea discs at the front desk too. It is as if the management was trying to force old people and kids to mingle here. Having said all this, I guess the only way I could review this hotel is by pros and cons.
Pros: If you have children, go. Your children can be as noisy as hell and it wouldn't matter, because there are so many of them staying here already. If you are bringing your old parents too, go for it. They can drink tea and walk around outside. Their rooms are huge. If you could fit your car in the elevator, you could probably park your car in your room. It is freakin' huge.
Cons: Way too many children. If you don't have kids, or are allergic to kids, this is not where you want to be. Besides, the soundproofing is not all that great. The bathrooms are relatively cramped. The room design is pretty awkward. When I first stayed, I wondered, 'were they trying to win a contest of who could build the smallest bathroom in a hotel room?' If they allocate just another square meter to the bathroom, it would be so much less dangerous and roomy. The shampoo, conditioner and bodywash all smell like kerosene. This is true for all the ..de chine hotels throughout this island. I think they do this intentionally, so that their guests wouldn't take them home. Breakfast is a disaster (because of all the kids). Their breakfast restaurant is so small that unless you go down really early, you will feel like you're eating at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Hong Kong. There is basically no "western breakfast" available. If you don't like local cuisine, forget it. Just go down the street to the local McDonald's. Pretty much none of their staff speak English. If you are a foreigner, don't...
Read moreSaw this on IG which recommended this place as a good hotspring hotel and they serve food the entire day to feed the guests. Been wanting to stay but always felt very suspicious because there are not many photos of the rooms in the hotel website so I hope can provide more detailed pictures. It's not a long walk from the train station, and check in was a breeze. Was given an upgrade to the room and got a big room on the top floor. Theres a water dispenser by the lift where could get hot, normal temperature water or sparkling water. The room was quite big and there was an area for hot spring in the bathroom as well. The bathroom layout was quite weird I didn't like it. The hot water that comes out from the tap is actually hot spring water which contains the minerals. Has an inviting pool we wanted to use but never got the chance to. The moment we checked in and wanted to go out we realized tea was provided. There was nothing except some biscuits and beancurd. Also realized there is a door next to the restaurant entrance which can head out there is a pavilion where one can soak the feet in hot spring water as well. Was out the whole day and then the night we came back at 930pm they served evening snacks which was porridge and braised food. Had breakfast early and the spread was decent. Hotel also provides a free shuttle every 30 minutes to the train station or the bus transfer station but you have to register for it in order to hop on the transport. There is a strange rule that you want housekeeping for the room the next day you have to indicate before 5pm the day before else by default they won't clean the room. Decent hotel stay which provides food several times of the day and I had a great time having hot spring in the room every...
Read moreI ordered a duck meal. Because my husband doesn't eat meat, the ordering staff who made the reservation helped me order a dish of fried cabbage with duck sauce. Because I still booked a room in September and purchased the Prophet Duck Meal Roll, I suddenly learned that due to epidemic prevention factors, the restaurant service staff could not let the customers do more a la carte dishes, and the restaurant staff were verbally warned. . This makes my stay experience even more dissatisfied! The children's playroom on the ninth floor can be used by appointment, but the swimming pool and gym are not open, so my older children (high school students) can't play on the ninth floor! Isn't the restaurant serving it? Can a single point easily spread the disease? The swimming pool is not open, follow the official policy? There are not no hotels that open swimming pools in a planned way in Jiaoxi. Or a la carte will earn $$ less profit, so selling a duck set meal for $3990-plus 10% of the service fee to earn $$ more? ? I really think the management of this hotel is very problematic. . Unfortunately, I missed the cancellation time. September should be my last meeting with Zhaoxi Zhaopin. , I am so in love that I will even book a house. I can only say that the housing experience that I took my mother to play in April is more in my heart than Pin Wen Travel, but it won’t happen in the future, because the management level...
