Monarch Skyline Hotel — Hotel in Taoyuan City

The service of this hotel is really terrible. We arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m. to check in. The receptionist promised to arrange a room on a high floor for us. However, after waiting for almost half an hour, we were told that the room hadn't been cleaned yet and we had to wait a little longer.After a while, we were informed that the room on the high floor had been arranged for us. But soon after, the after-sales staff told us that there was a malfunction in the room, and they could only arrange a room on a lower floor. I personally prefer rooms on high floors, and the room they arranged this time was seven floors lower than the high-floor room which was initially promised. I expressed that I still wanted a room on a high floor. The staff said they would rearrange it and asked us to go out and take a stroll for a while, saying that they could arrange it for us at around 4 o'clock.So we went out. We came back to the hotel at around 4:30 p.m., but the hotel actually said that the room still hadn't been arranged. The receptionist originally said that they would call to find out the situation for us. After all, they had promised that they could arrange the room for us at 4 o'clock. We had been out for an hour and it still hadn't been sorted out, so they definitely had to arrange it quickly. But when the receptionist saw foreign guests, they left us aside and served the foreign guests first instead of following up on our situation. I noticed that when foreign guests came to check in before, they could be quickly arranged with a room, while we were constantly being shuffled around and delayed. The main attraction of this hotel is the decent shopping mall that is next to it. The mall has several floors, plenty of restaurants and even an IMAX cinema. Shops feature international brands such as H&M and GAP. There is also a CitySuper supermarket inside. All relatively high end for Taoyuan. ||The hotel itself is pretty nice. Clean and modern with comfortable beds. I was given a huge room with a separate sofa area. Not sure what they call it but it was effectively a Junior Suite. My one gripe is at say at the desk on my laptop, a portion meant that I could not see the TV. Also the lack of sockets meant that working on my laptop I had to sit at the desk and use the socket there, or sit on the floor by the bed (perhaps the hotel had extension cables if needed?). There are no sockets by the bedside, only a USB port hastily added in recent times sitting on the bedside table. ||In addition to this, I could not get the internet to work well with 0.75 Mbps download speeds. As a reference, at a different hotel the other day I got 50 Mbps, at home I get close to 100 and my internet provider offers 1000 speed too. So at this hotel I couldn’t even connect to my WhatsApp properly, or load Facebook. Someone did come to install a router in my room but after 20 mins they left to check something and over an hour later asked to come back by which time I was about...
