Kapamumu b&b(嘎巴暮暮 民宿) — Hotel in Yuchi Township

We stayed at this B&B during a recent holiday to Sun Moon Lake in Dec 2019.||||The B&B is a small and cozy property in the Yuchi area. There have a limited number of rooms and hence if interested do book early. As we were travelling in a large party of 10 and needed 5 rooms, we occupied 50% of the property 😊.||||The property is run by a family. We met the owner who is of Native decent and hence his family name makes up the name of the B&B. ||||The rooms are small but cozy and everything has been planned accordingly so the design is practical with space of luggage and an open hangers for clothes. ||||Location wise it is excellent as the property is on the main road and leads downwards to the lake with plenty of shops along the way including a night market. There is easy access to both Family Mart and 7-eleven. The ropeway cable car station is not too away as well. We took a lakeside trail which finally ends up at the ropeway station on one of the days.||||The breakfast is fixed with option for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We were there for 2 nights and the good thing is the breakfast was slightly different each day. Breakfast is on the ground floor at the lobby area. ||||As it is a small property access after 8pm is via electronic card that is used for the rooms. ||||Overall it was a great stay and we were looking to try out a B&B instead of the usual larger chain hotels. This property is exceptionally well-maintained. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a wonderfully refreshing, subtle scent that sets a lovely tone. I was particularly impressed by the impeccable cleanliness throughout – from the elevators and corridors to the room and bathroom. A delightful surprise was the inclusion of Cha Tzu Tang (茶籽堂) shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, which are high-quality, natural products. It truly elevated the stay!

This B&B offers free parking in a designated area, approximately a 3-minute walk from the property. The parking lot itself is a bit narrow, and since the spots are slanted, it's easiest to back your car in. This way, you can just drive straight forward to exit, which is much more convenient.

Kapamumu is conveniently located on the main street of Ita Thao, within walking distance of the lakefront and the night markets. Rooms are comfortable and extremely affordable, and our host was so friendly and accommodating, offering advice about things to do and places where we could hire bikes.

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at Kapamumu, I would highly recommend accommodation here to anyone planning a trip to Sun Moon Lake, and will certainly stay at Kapamumu again on...
