My spouse and I spent one night here while on a private tour of Taiwan. It is a standard hotel, decent--nothing fancy, but it met our needs. Our room #512 was clean, spartan, and with a minimalist decor that featured two double beds, 2 wicker chairs, a small round wicker table, and a lengthy desk and desk chair. The floor was faux wood. I appreciated the fact that there was a luggage rack for one of our suitcases since many of the hotels in which we stayed on this trip offered none.||||The bathroom was of sufficient size and had a walk-in shower, and a vanity with enough space for our toiletries.||||Dinner was offered at its sister, the Lealea Moon Hotel down the street, but it was quite inconvenient, and expensive, so we opted not to eat since we had had a large lunch.||||Breakfast, on the 6th floor, was included in the price of our room. It was by far the worst breakfast buffet of the entire trip. The selection was very limited and featured runny scrambled eggs. There was no yogurt, and the only fresh fruit we found was a few meager orange slices. Very disappointing.||||As I stated, the hotel met our basic needs. I would not have selected this hotel, but the tour company made all our reservations, so the choice...
Read moreBooked two Lakeview suites here and unfortunately can't recommend this hotel right now. This was surely an amazing luxury hotel when it was first built but now it is in desperate need of renovations and deep cleaning. The flooring was in very poor condition and should be replaced. The worst part was that the bathroom had black mould everywhere and they clearly know it's an issue since many areas have layers of poorly done caulking trying to cover it. The rooms are otherwise spacious with a walkout balcony leading to quite a decent view of the lake. Breakfast is included but located at another nearby hotel. The breakfast buffet had lots of variety and an exceptional Lakeview though most of the hot food had gone cold already by 9:00am so it is best to go earlier. Location is excellent with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There's a lot to like but I would suggest avoiding this hotel until at least the mould issue is addressed (do note that it may not be an issue for all rooms but both rooms we were given had the...
Read morePlease do not be tricked into thinking that the hotel in the picture above (Post written on August 17th 08:47) is of Lea Lea Sun Hotel. This is the slight issue with some of the reviews of this hotel - people get confused over Lea Lea Hotel - Sun, and the other 2 Lea Lea Hotel's in the area. This hotel is (as you look directly at the big wooden hotel LeaLea 力麗儷山林會館日月潭館) on the left. There is no breakfast at the hotel here, you have to walk (less than 2 mins) to the LeaLea Hotel. There is no pool on site - you have to walk to the LeaLea hotel. There is no games room on site - get the picture?
The hotel is fine. There was a bit of mould on the ceiling in our bathroom (on the 2nd floor) which wasn't great. The location was pretty good, but from the 2nd floor you have a blocked view of the lake.
My recommendation: Go to the Lea Lea Hotel (the one in the picture), being as it has all the amenities you could want, and also has lake views from the rooms on all floors (providing they're facing the right...
