Holmand hotel is located in the centre of Mwanza nearby the shore of lake Victoria (5 min. walk). Next to the hotel is the bar and behind the building a restaurant with a nice and quiet terrace (with BBQ). The rooms are small but clean. All rooms to Karuta street (frontside) are very noisy. Good budget option located right within the CBD. However, I'd think twice if I was looking for great customer service, some of the staff are just pathetic and need refresher courses.
