Brand new restaurant - big portions - spacious indoors.
Quite simply, the best food in ALL of Tanzania.
I travelled around Tanzania for a month with my friend, and we strongly agree that this is the best restaurant in all of Tanzania.
Brand new restaurant with a very modern feeling. All meals are served in big portions, and I never left feeling hungry. They specialize in Indian and traditional Swahili cuisine. They have two chefs that hail from these distinct nationalities. True experts, with excellent recommendations. My Indian friend remarks that this is the best Indian food he’s found anywhere outside of India.
The owners are very friendly. Both the owners and the chefs speak English. Total languages spoken are English, Swahili, and Hindi.
The restaurant feels Western in the sense that it is spacious, indoors, very modern. The first thing I noticed is the smell of fresh wood, from the new Swedish-like modern furniture. But then you smell the wonderful food!
They also serve Italian food, but I didn’t get a chance to try it yet. But if it is anything like the Indian and Swahili food, you will be sure to enjoy it!
I don’t usually go out of my way to make big reviews like this, but this place 100% deserves it. Everybody needs to know about this excellent restaurant. I honestly can’t think of a single thing for them to improve on. And especially because it is brand new, give it a try!...

The service is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. While slightly on the pricier side, the quality of food and atmosphere make it worth the visit. Lakairo Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and...
