Mimi na Wewe Villa — Hotel in Unguja

I stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful experience at this beautiful villa surrounded by nature. Among the many highlights, I would like to highly commend the swimming pool and the food.

The pool is kept at a comfortable temperature, and the villa’s buildings provides shade, allowing me to swim under the sky without worrying about sunburn. I also appreciated that the pool stayed open late, making it possible to swim while stargazing.

The restaurant being open all day was another great advantage. The breakfast was absolutely delightful, and I chose to have all my meals at this restaurant without feeling the need to dine out.

The manager and staff were incredibly kind and responsible, working together with nice teamwork. When I needed a tour guide, the manager promptly arranged one, helping me fully enjoy my time exploring Zanzibar. The owner also checked in to ensure everything...

We really enjoyed our 6 nights at Mimi na Wewe Villa. The room was very clean, the grounds were exceptionally clean and well maintained including the pool! The pool was heavenly. (Shout out to the pool guy!) The palapa covered chairs were great the one day it rained, outside but fully dry. The breakfast was good, so much food. Rae was so friendly and remembered our preferences which made us feel cared for! Irene the owner was lovely and helpful. She and her staff attended to anything very quickly. I had the most wonderful stay at Mimi na Wewe! The rooms and the entire hotel are kept spotless — you can truly see the care in every detail of the cleanliness. The staff is by far the friendliest I’ve ever met. A special thank you to Rafa, Nice, and the entire kitchen team, who were always smiling and ready to help with anything. The chef is absolutely first-class, and the food is incredible — their lobster is a must-try, one of the most delicious I’ve ever had.
