Frangipani House Nungwi Zanzibar — Hotel in Unguja

We had a truly wonderful stay at Frangipani Home in Nungwi. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were stepping into our own little sanctuary. The place has such a homely vibe, with a beautiful flower garden, lovely cats roaming around, and a peaceful atmosphere that made us feel instantly relaxed.

The room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. Everything we needed was there, and it was clear that the hosts put a lot of care into making guests feel comfortable.

A huge highlight of our stay was the kindness and warmth of Irina and her husband—they are truly super sweet, friendly, and kind-hearted people who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Their hospitality made all the difference.

The location is also perfect, just a short walk to the beach yet tucked away enough to enjoy the calm and quiet. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and appreciate the little things.

I'm so happy to have stayed at this gem of a location! Irina and Georgii are a joy, they are so kind, generous, & friendly, the perfect hosts. They shared tips on restaurants, how to get a cheap local sim card, good beaches to visit, where to get a great manicure!, local tips, and they organised a very well priced & good taxi from the airport & onto my next location at the end of the stay. The villa is set in a beautiful garden, well laid out & very peaceful despite being close to restaurants etc. The room was spacious, super clean, with fun island style decor. It was so special to have fresh flowers in my room each day, someone to turn the sheets, & to wake up to the sounds of myriads of birds & the fresh breath of the ocean. The breakfasts that Georgii makes are out of this world and were definitely a highlight (you have to try them!). Perfect! We thank Irina and Georgy for their sincere hospitality! 🙏🏻 Stayed for 20 days (from 01/28/2023 to 02/18/2023), rented a room with a kitchen as we like. We are very glad that we chose Frangipani House. Cozy, nice and very clean! Everything is done by Irina and Georgy with taste and care for the guests and great love for their work. We liked everything - a wonderful garden, birds singing in the garden, an open veranda for communication, fresh flowers in the room every day, location, proximity to the beach, market, shops, restaurants. I will also tell you (confidentially to the whole world) that at the Villa Frangipani House we had an important event - the registration of our marriage!😊 Special thanks to Irina and Georgiy for the joint experience of cooking Tom Yam Thai soup. It was fun and unforgettable! 😂
