Coco Retreat Phuket — Hotel in Chalong

We had a room by the pool, which we really enjoyed. The place is well maintained and the staff is friendly. The location is not central, but rather in a more quiete area of Phuket. However the location is something that you should verify before you book a place. You can still reach place by foot, such as the Robinson mall, several restaurants, 7-elevens etc. They also offer scooter rentals, which were a bit expensive in my opinion, 125ccm were about 300 baht per day, 150ccm about 400 baht and they also had a 500ccm for 500 baht. All scooters indicated oil change required, so thats probably something to look into.

The only bigger issue we faced was with the laundry service. We asked if they separate white and black clothes, which they confirmed. But in the end all of our white stuff turned a bit grey, which indicated that they did not separate them after all.

The facility has 2 pools, one a bit smaller and a bigger one. Both were really nice and clean, they will hand you extra towels at the reception.

There is also a small gym, which was nice to have and we used it mutliple times.

Overall I can recommend the stay, just make sure you understand that you are not in...

It's a peaceful and tranquil place. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. We chose this location especially as it's close to Fitness Street and is associated with Phuket meditation retreat.

One downside is, that at night you can hear music from the surrounding area, which kept us awake. Not ideal if you're on a retreat! We spoke to reception about this and they moved us to a room further away from the main entrance, and the noise was significantly reduced. So, if you're looking for serenity, go for the more expensive rooms that are tucked away at the back! The other downside is the gym... it is sad, old and rusty, with no appeal. It is a waste of space and would be best used as a quiet reading area or meditation nook.

What this place particularly excels at is customer service. Sofia is especially great! The best waitress in Phuket :) she's a very special person.

First of all I would like to say thank you. The people of Coco Retreat were so welcoming and kind.

We stayed here from the 20th of Jan and returned on the 3rd of Feb.

Honestly, I feel like they undersold us this hotel as it is 100x better than they make it out to be. It is a mini paradise. Everyone from the reception staff to the room service staff are all friendly and happy to help whenever you need them to. If we ever return to Phuket, I will definitely come back.

The hotel has a restaurant with lovely food and a wide variety of items to choose from. 3 pools in the centre of the retreat & other facilities to use. We went with a 2 year old and they were happy to accept us & even provided us with a crib for our toddler.
