This is the first time I’ve come across such a big restaurant dedicated to this dish - with so many options and side dishes for you to enjoy. 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘐 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥.

You can also enjoy 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 and 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 (displayed at the end of the curries) every day! In many places, the pork belly tends to be so deep fried that it becomes crunchy, tough to bite/chew. But the fried pork belly here is a winner for me because the meat is still tender. May not be your thing, but I enjoy a balanced bite of lean meat AND pork fat 👌
There is a variety of 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐱 and 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 on display at the counter for you to choose from. My favourite is ‘𝑲𝒂𝒐 𝑵𝒊𝒂𝒘 𝑵𝒂 𝑲𝒖𝒏𝒈’ (12 baht) – Yellow sticky rice with sweet shrimp paste topping. This is by a local Thai lady who has been making this for over 30 years! I’ve been told her secret recipe is made from minced shrimp with scraped coconut 🤩
Also do try their homemade desserts 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐠 (or ‘Cendol’) and 𝐎𝐡-𝐞𝐥 (20baht each). The Oh-el is a combination of crunched ice, syrup, red bean and watermelon in it. Not too sweet, in my opinion. Highly...
Read moreMy wife and I are true (ka)nom jeen fans and we drove by a this new place the other day on the way to an old favorite place. It was closed the first time we went back but today they were open. The owner is a very nice guy, his staff very friendly and efficient, the place is clean and well organized. He said he opened Jan 20th, 2021.
The food was good to excellent. They had a bunch of extra stuff besides nom-jeen, including fish cakes which are not always easy to find in Phuket anymore, fried chicken and hor mok. My wife said her hor mok was excellent. It's too fishy for me, I don't eat it.
They make their own noodles fresh everyday with no preservatives, and sell them by the bowl (10 baht), ½ kg (25 baht) or a full kg (45 baht). The place has a nice vibe, is clean and fresh. Basic nam ya with noodles was 40 baht, with lots of veggie choices as...
Read moreThis is a very nice place to taste Thai food at your own pace! On the way to discover Thai gastronomy, choose your main road with rice or noodles and a sauce, then grab the various elements that can lead you to different paths: leaves of many kinds of plants, flower, bean sprouts, vegetables... You build your own menu and decide for the quantity you need for each component. The staff is very kind and the place just perfect: inside but cover and fresh because opened, green plants, nice design. Prices: truly very attractive for the quality of the service, the place where you eat and...
