I was staying in The Tower for the past month and visited DLUX many times, so I would love to give you a healthy comparison and share my personal experience, hope I can help anyone with my review. The Tower and Dlux are both situated in the same location. 1min apart from each other. They situated a 1min away from Starbucks Coffee, Home Pro and Villa Market, which will supply you with all the groceries you need with a expat price tag on it, the prices are similar to a Cold Storage in Singapore. So definitely a high end. If you look at the Google maps you will think you are situated right by the beach.. don’t be fooled it’s a pier for boats, you can not swim there.. the closest beach is Naiharn, Koran, or Kuta. Taxi service will cost you 500baht each way, costs more than NY cab to be fair, or you can score a blue bus for 40baht which is great, cheap and runs every 30min. I asked The Tower staff regards the bus service but they not been helpful at all, they even insisted that such a bus does not exist and I should take a taxi instead, but let’s move on to the facilities itself. The Tower it’s a brand new Condo Tower with a nice, clean, modern feel apartments with gym. Hmmm.. there are 2 spin bikes, broken TRX, 1set of dumbbell 1,5kg and 3kg and few rubber bands. I would rather call this a empty space to perform a exercise rather than a gym itself. But don’t worry there is a great gym facility near by, called Be Fit and it runs 500baht for a week or 1,2k for a month. Bargain. DLUX has a much better value for money. Gym has a trademill, elliptical bike, cross trainer and a great variety of the dumbbells, so if you do not feel like gym, you can have a nice workout right on the spot. The Tower has a rooftop pool, it’s very small, but great for my daughter to enjoy herself and relax a bit. Dlux pool is twice as big and has a amazing infinity setting so great for pictures!! The rooftop is much bigger itself and more spacious. You will definitely need a scooter or a car, you can forget about romantic stroll around the neighbourhood, as the area itself is heavy under construction, so noise, dust, road blocks be ready, you can not just wonder around, Villa Market has a nice square though, so it’s not that bad, plus Home Pro runs a night market every Monday and Tuesday, so lots of delicious, local food in a great price. Let’s talk about the cost. I paid 27k/month for about 40m2, plus electricity 2k, plus they charged me additional fee of 1k for a check out outside the office hours, that it’s not all if you want a cleaning there is a fee to pay (500baht, or 700baht with change of linens)and there is not a single broom or mop in your room, so basically you are like never ending expat ATM, that was the vibe I was getting. On the another hand DLUX has a weekly FREE cleaning service, so again so much better value for money. They as well offered me much better price, don’t make same mistake as me and rush to book. There is definitely NO REFUND policy. Take your time, investigate, the reason why I am writing this review is to give you the idea what to expect. You would think with a price tag comes the quality. Unfortunately not. Myself I experienced the issue with electricity. Unfortunately I experienced a power cuts ( my fuse box blew several times) so Monday, Tuesday and Friday instead of tanning on the beach I was dealing with maintenance people coming in and out of the apartment ( the fuse box will blew several times a day, the maintenance guy will fix it and after 10minutes we were back to same situation) , how annoying when you are trying to relax and enjoy yourself and instead have to deal with electricity issues at the heavy price tag of 30k. The team was very responsive though, but unfortunately a very nice maintenance guy could not deal with the issues by himself no matter how many times he tried. Finally on Friday, after many attempts the proper electrician arrived (since Monday) and the day before...
Read moreWe stayed in the Tower for 4 months last year and had a pleasant experience. However this year it was something else.
First: we had construction site working from 8AM to 8 PM every single day with super loud noise right into our windows. It was impossible to sleep longer in the morning or just relax in your own apartment during the day. Additionally, there was a neighbor dog barking nonstop (not a condo's fault but still adding up on our nerves). It was especially difficult to bare during quarantine/lockdown because we were literally forced to stay indoors all day long AND listen to construction noise!
Second: room wasn't taken care of. Cracks in the walls, AC broke in the first week etc.
Third: we rented through a lady at the reception. She was only interested untill we signed the papers. After that she completely lost any interest whatsoever to do anything for her clients (us). Any question regarding condo I asked her the answer was 'I don't know', she always made mistakes in our papers, didn't care to even look for our mail eventho it was marked delivered etc.
I understand that we should have rented with the office, but Hey, this is not a client's responsibility to double-check if the person on reception is an actual representative of the company. She sits at your condo reception and a first person I see when I enter the building.
If you don't want ppl to rent through the reception then just forbid those ladies to sign contracts. Make them send clients to your official office. You hired them in a...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of staying at this place, and I must say, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. For a rate of 38,000 THB a month, you’d expect some basic level of service and amenities, but this place fell far short of expectations.
Firstly, the access to the property is a nightmare. The gate is difficult to open, and the staff seem indifferent to your struggle. Instead of offering assistance, they would rather watch you struggle with the key device. It’s a frustrating start to an already problematic stay.
On a positive note, the cleaners are consistently smiling and friendly, which is a small comfort. However, that’s where the positives end. The service here is deceptive. They promised one thing before signing the contract, only to backtrack on those promises once you’re committed. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch tactic.
Overall, I would strongly advise against staying here. The combination of poor service, unfulfilled promises, and lack of genuine customer care makes this place where your money is wasted. Save your funds and...
