I have had Phuket Shooting Range on my radar for a while now and finally made it down. I'm really glad I did as this range and its staff provided the most educational and hands on firearm experience I've had to date. Whilst other ranges may restrict the handling of the weapons through chaining/cabling the guns to a fixed object or having the instructor perform all reloads etc, the staff here allowed me to take my time, ask questions and perform safety checks, reloading etc under their guidance. This applied to both the pistol range and the outdoor range where I shot the Glock and Semi-Auto Benelli respectively. Going above and beyond, the manager on duty at the time who was a former soldier taught me proper pistol racking technique and ready positions, even bringing out other firearms I hadn't selected to teach me on them, all the while offering to take photos for me. I felt very valued visiting this range and will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. The place is worth a visit if you have never shot and held a gun before. You can choose the weapon of your choice and there is no pressure from any staff. I chose the 45mm as this was my first time. The experience is a bit expensive with 1180 baht for just 10 rounds and considering it lasts for less than 5 mins. But if you haven't tried before then is definitely worth trying.
