I experienced a microaggression at this hotel, and my experience with the staff overshadowed my entire stay. The hotel staff charged me for damaging one of their towels, claiming that the stain on it was permanent and could not be removed. The stain was caused by me using the towel to wipe off my makeup at night, which is a common practice for many people with towels when showering. The microaggression comes in because I have deep skin. I was treated unfairly because of the color of my skin and shade of makeup used. I am aware that I am a tourist and that many people with my skin tone and race may not visit the hotel. However, I should not have been charged for something as simple as using a towel to remove my makeup. I spoke to the hotel staff about my concerns and told them that I was not okay with how they handled the situation. I also mentioned that I would be sharing my experience with others. I have decided to dispute the towel charge with my bank because it was discriminator.
Secondly, the makeup I use can be easily removed with proper washing. It is not permanent and does not leave any stains on any material. Therefore, unless everyone from every race and every shade is charged for getting makeup on a towel or pillowcase, this charge is not acceptable.
I have been in Thailand for more than 30 days now, staying in various accommodations including five-star hotels, villas, and hostels, but I have not encountered any such issues during my trip.
I do not wear permanent makeup and the stains could have been easily removed if the housekeeping staff had attempted to clean them. I have proof that the makeup can be removed, as it was successfully removed from a dress that I had cleaned using the laundry service.
The charge was a microaggression because it was based on something unfamiliar to the staff, and I was not given any explanation or communication about it. Furthermore, despite having an extended stay, the staff did not say anything to me about my makeup, which only added to the feeling of being unwelcome and discriminated against.
As a black person, I would not recommend staying at this place, and I urge the management to take action to ensure that all guests are treated fairly and equally, regardless of their race.
To tell me a black woman in your response that I did not experience a microaggression, something that I experienced, is inappropriate and inaccurate.
During my stay, the power went out for a few hours, so I didn't have air conditioning, and it was exceptionally hot in Thailand.
I do...

there are pros and cons pro is the whole lot of hotels is very spacious, interior designs, coloring, indoor, out door area are great, which large carpark.
Cons is that the room doesn't have enough hardware configuration for travelers to handle clothing and rest. 2 people stay in one room but only have 2 very narrow ranks , 4 hander, and 1 chair only. swimming and gym room kind of small in terms of the portion or the hotel. A contrast between reality and pictures from hotel officials' websites.
Chair why 1 chair is a thing? when 2+ people travel and share a room together, who gets the chair and rest ? when travel at thai, ran out for whole day and night, would get sour leg, sweating, prefer not get in bed straight away, have a sit and take some rest it's very common and understandable
Rank and hander (no closet) understand the design theme is going minimalism and would like to be more spacious by visions BUT, that just too minimalisms for traveler to handle clothing, luggage 🧳.......
Although the dining area is really spacious. It would be nice if there was some more choices of food for breakfast.
Pro The site of the hotel is really spacious with large parking lots. The design of the outdoor around main entrance, although the greenery isn't a big part of it, but can tell the designer did thought about traveler can take a good picture of the setting, no matter day or night.
Love the design and furniture at the lobby, front desk, and breakfast area.
At last, I would like to thank a staff member from the front desk whose name is Prep(I hope I get his name right🙏🏻). My original plan was to stay at two different hotels in 5 nights. But I changed my mind to stay at one hotel for 5 nights straight. When I do my booking and everything is paid which means can't be changed. But I made some mistake that the booking split to two order which mean I need to pack my belongings and swap to different room in-between my staying.
Prep help me to stay in the same room without all the fussy pack unpacking annoying time consuming situation. Big thank you to him. Then, I can only focus on my ChiangMai itinerary...
Read moreGreat overall experience. great location in Nimman area theres a buggy service until midnight you can use the app to request for services like requesting buggy services, getting dental kit(which isnt provided, but can request for free of charge) -gym, pool, and convenient store are in building T1 plenty parking spaces shampoo and body wash available in the bathroom staff are helpful and nice when you arrive, grab driver will drop you off at building T2 for check in, if your room is located in the other building, you will get dropped off and you will need to check in for a second time Staff at check in should take initiative to let me know details regarding other information necessary like second check in etc. After i checked in at T2 and i was told that im all set, i wasnt given key cards i was only told that my room is in T7. Not a big deal but a little confused at first, The least they could do is explain the process. Btw you get your key cards at the check in counter in your building, not right from the beginning. sometimes the buggy service takes longer than expected it would be faster if you walk gym and pool are located on 4th floor of building T1, to get to the elevator you can either walk through the convenient store on ground floor or walk from building T2(theres a walkway in the back) i kinda have to figure out how to get to the elevator which is not a problem but they couldve informed me prior, also if you choose to go to gym or pool in the morning you have to go there from building T2 walkway, the front entrance to building T1 is for the convenient store and wont be opened until 10 or 11 am i think.
Overall, the facilities are great, price is affordable, if they could improve a little on laying out all the information necessary for customers right from beginning, it...
