A place that cheats on the customers. Went for dinner yesterday with my family after reading nice google reviews. When realized the sushi chef is inexperienced in preparing sushi rice, I was still hopeful to have nice fresh ingredients. We ordered a list of things including Salmon don, Nabe, Squid sashimi, Otoro sushi, Kuruma ebi sushi, Shimaaji sushi, Jumbo Unagi sushi, etc.; what was served was cheap frozen shrimp (that you can buy a pack of 20 shrimps at 200 baht) sushi instead of Kuruma shrimp, Hamachi sushi instead of Shimaaji, not properly cut Otoro piece on rice instead of a proper nicely cut Otoro piece. The restaurant offered me an extra Hamachi sushi which implied they knew I was not being served with the menu I ordered. I cancelled Otoro, Kuruma ebi, and Shimaaji sushis, and paid for the rest of the food and alcohol we had consumed in the restaurant which was over 2k baht. Please note that the other menus we had eaten also were just acceptable at best (e.g., Jumbo Unagi sushi on their menu is in fact 2cm x 5cm sized cooked frozen eel on rice), I would have left the place without eating anything at all if I was not so hungry after a round of afternoon golf. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid...
Read moreTai Kin Grand Sushi (Tanpark), The sushi here is incredibly fresh, with premium ingredients sourced directly from Japan. One of the highlights is their signature red vinegar sushi rice, which enhances the overall flavor and texture of each bite. Their O-toro Maruko Sushi is a must-try for tuna lovers, and the Hachi Roll is another standout dish with a perfect balance of flavors. They also offer a unique sukiyaki set, which is a great option if you’re in the mood for something warm and comforting.
The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are always ready to assist. Despite the high-quality ingredients, the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value for money.
Overall, Tai Kin Grand Sushi (Tanpark) is a hidden gem for sushi lovers in Chiang Mai. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious Japanese food with great service, this is definitely a place...

This might be the longest wait time I ever had in a Restaurant in Thailand in a decade. Its sushi, raw fish on top of rice…should be fast enough. Also the rice tasted burnt. Many reviews must be purchased or fake because everybody at restaurant at almost every table is complaining about wait times, The food is average sushi, not bad not great. Don’t waste your time. There are much better places in town for sushi, like Musashi. Also the restaurant is in a hotel lobby so it feels like you are in a basement eating.
Every time we asked how long the wait would be we were told “just a moment”, 2.5 hours later we left not having gotten the full order.
No one cared and no told us why the waits were long, no apologies offered. Do yourself a favour and...
