WORST SERVICE EVER. At first, I went in asking for the price of a woman's haircut. I heard the man at the desk say 450 baht and didn't show me the pricing menu. After I was done with the haircut, he told me the price was 550 baht and showed me the menu this time. I also asked for a short haircut and the same man told the hairdresser (who does not speak English) that keeping it longer is better like the picture. But I told them I wanted the same layered look as the picture, but shorter and POINTED at my shoulder showing how long I wanted it. He still told the hairdresser to cut it a bit longer.
When the hairdresser was almost finished and was styling my hair, I was asking her, "is this it? This isn't what I wanted. I want it a bit shorter" (she also only took 10 mins or less cutting my hair) then the same man said that if I want it shorter, I have to pay extra.
I am not used to being told that this was the style I wanted when I didn't want that longer style at all in the first place.
The manager even told me "sometimes customers are not right" and threatened to call the police on me when I kept saying I should have the hair style I want and not have to pay extra for it.
I felt SCAMMED, THREATENED, CONFUSED, HURT. Never have I ever walked out of a salon crying before in my life until now. It was the absolute worst situation to be in. My heart was pounding in fury and I've always been talking nice until the front counter man and the manager raised their voices at me. Since then I cannot tolerate their behaviour. They also threatened that they have voice recordings of the whole situation on camera. Then, please show the world that recording if you want to argue with me and this review then. If not, customers are always right based on how they feel. There is something called customer service and the front desk man and manager clearly do...
Read moreIt's not great, unfortunately. Whether or not a haircut is good or not can be subjective to some extent, so I won't focus on that too much. When I got there, I didn't have an initial chat with a hairdresser, they rushed me off to wash my hair. I thought that was odd and I was starting to get a bit worried. I have very long wavy frizzy western hair, and I can't imagine cutting hair like that without taking a look at the texture, and the way it moves first. I mentioned it to the hairdersser, she didn't seem bothered.
I asked for a wolfcut-lite, i.e. introduce some movement, texture and volume at the top but only a little. I showed her a photo too. I also wanted to also keep as much volume at the bottom as possible. I got neither. What I got was a classic thai girl long haircut, with lots oh hair chopped off at the front and no texture/volume anywhere else. She also cut off a lot of hair at the bottom so it looks like my hair is in poor condition and needs a cut (ironic, huh!). I just don't understand this - I specifically asked her to keep volume at the bottom. I recon I'm going to have to cut off two inches at the bottom just to keep it looking healthy. What a bummer.
My bangs were completely ignored until I said I needed them cut too. She didn't check my hair after blowdrying, or texturised/point cut into in at any point. I decided to cut my losses and not try to explain that I wanted a completely different cut - if they didn't understand me the first time, I wasn't going to risk them trying to 'fix it". So is my hair ruined - no, thank god! But did I get a great cut - also no, definitely not. I wouldn't recommend this salon to girls with western hair, or anyone wanting to get anything but a very...
Read moreabsolutely Horrendous. the first time in my entire LIFE i’ve cried after getting a haircut. i’ve had my fair share of bad haircuts and usually i just shrug it off and fix it at home but this place made it too short for me to even do anything with it. while the lady was cutting my hair i kept telling myself to “trust the process” and “trust the good reviews” and i paid the price for not telling that lady to stop and jumping out of my seat to sprint home. please do not support this place, there are so many better and cheaper hair salons in chiangmai. i’ve added pictures of what i asked for and what i got.
(reply : I did ask for the haircut without bangs and a middle part. i didn’t, however, ask for the entire hairstyle to be different from the picture. i walked into your salon with soft hair. it became dry because it was shampooed multiple times before the cut. Also, i never said i understood to any of those things. i knew the price. i checked on your website before going and asked before the cut. i was willing to pay that much for the hairstyle i asked for, but i didn’t get it. i had wanted that hairstyle for months. i grew my hair out for it and chose to trust your salon because of your good ratings. i did have an open mind. i was polite, i didn’t complain to the hairdresser after seeing the end result, i paid, and left. i didn’t mean to deliberately insult or be rude to you with this review, i was just talking about the experience i had in your shop.)
thank you for the offer, but the only thing that can fix my hair...
