Ongsa House — Hotel in Choeng Thale

The hotel is very modern and the rooms look very nice. They were also very clean. But unfortunately we had some inconveniences that made our stay not very nice. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable that I did not have a single night I slept well. The air con is directed to the bed so we didn‘t feel very well using it by night. The chairs at the pool are plastic chairs and not really meant to be used for The „24 hours reception“ isn‘t one, so we had to buy our own toilet paper because we had no access to some at the hotel. And also the kitchen was close when the staff was not there, what happened often. There is also no possibility to rent a scooter at the hotel, we had to rent it somewhere else. The beach can only be reached if you have a scooter, it‘s pretty far. The place was quite but we didn‘t like where it is located. The Laundry service was very disappointing. We gave it in the early afternoon to the hotel and they said it would be ready in the afternoon the next day. When we wanted to pick up our laundry in the afternoon, nobody was here and nobody told us anything about our laundry. So the next day, we asked again and they told us the laundry center is closed today. In the end we waited two days more than promised to get our laundry back. It could have been a nice stay and the staff is very friendly but there were a lot of things we didn’t like, so unfortunately only...

We stayed here for just 1 night, and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is peaceful and quiet tucked away from the main road and hustle and bustle. The rooms are little chalets, right on the swimming pool. Really lovely little place and well recommended. However, this is not a resort there is no shop, or restaurant, therefore no breakfast. There is a small kitchen where you can make your own food. Or, there is a short walk down the road to small Thai shops/restaurants for Thai drinks/ food. A longer walk to find anything else, eg. 7-11. |At the end of the road turn left and keep walking you will find an elephant “eco sanctuary” this is NOT elephant friendly and they do NOT care for the elephants. The animals are rocking, kept in small bamboo cages, with their feet locked. Do NOT pay these people!! ||A short taxi ride will take you to Kata beach, a really lovely pig beach! A family of pigs have moved in and are friendly, but not too friendly for cuddles. Abundance of bars and restaurants here with plenty to choose from and really lovely...

I booked the room 5 days before the checkin date and when I arrived at 7 pm there’s no staff and everything was close and the checkin condition is available until midnight.

I tried to contact the owner my phone calls and message but no respond, he read the message but not answer!! 10 mins later he sent this staff and the staff said, the place is overbooking!!!!

They have the whole day to let me know but nothing came out from the mouth of the owner, not even apologize or sorry.

I tried to call him to talk about it but he turn off the phone.

This was my worse experience booking the hotel. I will report this case to every platforms this place registered and let them reconsider if they still should continue partnering with this place or not.

I would not recommend anyone to stay here. I booked with them 10 days before for work trip and the bed was awful, you can feel the springs in every inches. They can’t give a proper receipt.
