This elephant park is good. It isn’t the greatest but it is good and they do seem to care for the elephants. I didn’t see any sign of any elephant being mistreated )or any marks on the elephants or anything).
They pick you up and drop you off.
The first part of our tour- There were 7 elephants when we went, all was in small pens when we arrived but after we saw, made them vitamin balls and fed the elephants bananas, the guides let out and took the elephants to another part of the park (which I presume is a lot larger and let them roam free).
The 2nd part - After we fed them, they teach you how to make Pad Thai which you eat with the group (ours was quite large), then you get to give some of the elephants mud baths (rub mud all over them) and then they go into the water were you wash them too. The elephants did seem to enjoy this (they were playing and laying under the water with their trunks out).
You then shower and get ready for them to drop you back to your hotel.
Our guide Bihan was great, he gave us lots of information and treated us well. Always made sure we was engaging with the group and elephants.
This place did seem to care about the elephants and not mistreat them that I saw.
I think the elephants need a bigger place to be in although they might only be in the small pens when there’s a tour of people coming to see the elephants.
Maybe other people saw signs of mistreatment but I didn’t see anything like that. This one seemed to be good. The only way I would give it a 5 star is if the elephants had...

Read moreAn absolutely perfect day, rain or shine. We found the Phuket Eco Elephant Park (elephant care park) on Google Maps and bought tickets through their website the morning of our visit. We had a wonderful day learning about elephants, making them food, feeding them, then we had snacks and a traditional Thai light lunch. Free water, a keepsake metal, and free pictures with the elephants and free transportation to and from the elephant park. The visitors who bathed the elephants got to keep the fabric over shirts. There are restrooms and showers for the guests to use. It was a rainy day but we stayed clean and dry because the elephants came to us in the huge shelter. The many employees were very friendly and helpful. So far, favorite day...
