Little Roma — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

Let me start with the fact that this is a Great Restaurant! Now, to the details… We were a family of five, the youngest was 12 years old. We were all hungry😌 and we love Italian food to begin with. But there is way more… First, the ambience was great, nice evening lighting, not too dark not to bright, well decorated tables and surroundings, making you feel in Thailand but also Europe. Nice music in the background, again, not too strong yet enough to fade noise or other tables discussions out of your ears. Now, to the food story. We didn’t order and taste all the menu (impressive and has so many kitchens to choose from - including an amazing Thai-Italian fusion menu) NOW Be Warned!!! This Restaurant is GENEROUS, easy with your ordering😛… dishes are large so keep some for later or the day after. Go step by step and enjoy because the food is tasty and made with love and respect for the food and diners. We ordered a salad, two kinds of pizzas, salmon fillet Lasagna and Calzone (Thursdays you get the second free when ordering the first). Everything tasted delicious, really delicious! Now let me add a few important remarks: They really think on the little details! On every table there are even mosquito repellent spray, and hands sanitizing gel. Now, service was smiley and auspicious (thanks Vicky) but it stands out when things aren’t ok. Our son’s lasagna took too long to prepare and we all finished our courses (big enough remember? So my son wasn’t hungry 😋) so we asked to cancel it. No angry faces, or anything! Just a smile, four shots of Amateto pineapple and one big strawberry flavored sugar candy to close the evening dinner, hats off! Ooh! At 21:00 there was a little Italian parade by the restaurant staff with flags, hand fireworks and Italian songs while the owner actively participated and thanked the people who arrived the restaurant! Spectacular 👌Bellisimo e bravo It really looks like the owner loves his restaurant but also to bring great and enjoyable experience to his customers! P.S, they also took our picture with Polaroid! Free gift, so nice!!! Ottimo ristorante e servizio!

Ok, we had to visit one more time before leaving Phuket… this time for late lunch. We had to try some more choices and complete that missing lasagna bolognese 😉. So we hopped to Little Roma, this time inside table (loved the decoration), Vicky was there and even recognized us when greeted in. To make it short, we ordered the Lasagna bolognese, pasta Alfredo for my daughter, Flank steak and I had to try the amazing idea of the restaurant’s fusion version of Pad kapao with risotto . It was even more delicious then I expected. Didn’t even leave a drop of its sauce on the plate (I know my mom would be proud 😌). All of us loved our dishes. Again… (have to point that we sometimes asked to change or take out ingredients - not me- and it was always with a smile) and of course this time we tried some desserts, one cannoli and one strawberry pizza accompanied with a good espresso and one Latte with soy (not many offer the soy milk option in Thailand except for Starbucks… another great point for Little Rome👍🏻) we will miss it and will be back when...

HONESTLY!!! I’m not surprised this place has such a high rating compared to others! And how busy it was! Everything here is just on another level!!! I couldn’t believe that I had such a warm welcome by the owner Luca to this place! For few hours it felt like I wasn’t in Thailand … The feeling of Italy - Roma from food to service was brilliant!! For Thai it’s a rare Gem! I must admit! I loved the entertainment, Italian songs! Fun very enjoyable atmosphere. Which made me dive deeper in the Italian vibe ☺️ The waitresses work very hard to please you! Rosa and Ciara!(hope I spelled it right!) very friendly lovely and professional girls. If you looking for perfect spot to fulfill your bellies and enjoy your time in Phuket, then it’s a PLACE TO BE! Thank you to Luca who puts his soul into this place! Let me say few words abt the food! Honestly!!!! Fresh bread!!!! Wow!!! I wanted to eat it all… but had to hold myself to keep the space for all dishes I ordered :) The Burrata was so fresh and tasty!!! Luca showed me the right way how to prepare it to enjoy the dish more. That was special touch for me! Then the Octopus and mash Potatoes … Is the best combination I ever had! It was so beautiful and perfectly cooked, the octopus was soft and delicious! Mash potatoes was creamy (not chunky as usually get in Thailand) and well seasoned. It exploded my mind!! all my expectations were met above the top! Who loves octopus know how tricky it can be, as it can be chewy which I really hate but this was soft and perfect! Yum! Being big foodie and coming from London high end restaurants, trust me it was Real orgasmic to my tasting buds and belly hahahahah Such a shame I had no space to try desert cos I had to pack take away left overs from octopus, at this point my belly said no more! This is why I’m coming back tomorrow for more mind and belly explosion to try something else!!! By the way! Italian wine by the glass or bottle highly recommended so easy to drink and very very enjoyable! If I could give higher rating than just 5, I would with no hesitation! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Little Roma, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food, ambiance, and especially the exceptional staff made my visit truly special.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness. The restaurant's cozy and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the evening. The menu offered a fantastic selection of authentic Italian dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I was delighted by the rich flavors and exquisite presentation of every dish I tried.

The standout aspect of my visit, however, was the incredible service provided by the staff. Mia, Vita, Blanca, and Sofia were all attentive, polite, and professional. They made sure every need was met and went out of their way to ensure a delightful dining experience. Their genuine enthusiasm and knowledge about the menu added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.

A special mention goes to the bartender, Polo, who crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Polo's creativity and skill behind the bar were impressive, and his friendly demeanor made for a fun and engaging experience. Whether it was a classic cocktail or a unique creation, each drink was perfectly balanced and delicious.

Overall, Little Roma exceeded all my expectations. The combination of delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and outstanding service made it a night to remember. I highly recommend Little Roma to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. I can't wait to return and enjoy more of what this wonderful restaurant...
