We have been staying at the Phu Kamala suites in Kamala Phuket for 2 weeks and originally booked just one week. We liked it so much that we had to stay longer. The staff are extremely nice and friendly and you feel at home there. They are also very helpful and accommodating. Especially Aod who helped us with a taxi and other requests nothing too much for him he did things with a smile. The chamber maids also were very good and the rooms are kept very clean they are also very large rooms the one we were in was 35 sq meters and very new. The rooms have balconies that you can enjoy the views from when it gets a little cooler, mosquito spray a must for some. There are builders doing some work across the small lake in front of the suites but they are not making much noise. The gardens are tropical and make the stay more interesting, For the money you would find it difficult to do better. Although the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach we did it every day bar 1 day when we shopped instead. Nearby there is a Big C several 7-11's and other food stores. Around the corner on the main road there are a lot of restaurants. However we chose to eat at several along the beach as they are so good especially "Kamala beach resort" main restaurant a Sunwing hotel they also had another restaurant a little more casual in the same grounds called "Fino" both served lovely meals the Thai food and especially the Green Thai curry which was delicious the price too surprised us as we were on a budget of 1200 Bhat a day that is only 24 pounds a day for all of our meals and eating at these restaurants we still came in on budget. A Thai curry cost 135 Bhat and comes with rice. Sweet and sour chicken, Pork or beef too comes at around the same price. Fabulous time and we will definitely come to Kamala and Phu Kamala suites again next year. The beach at Kamala is a very beautiful beach and family friendly with only a hint of the sleeze we found in Chiang Mai and Pattaya, Pattaya being the worst for sleeze.||Phuket a fabulous area to visit next stop Phuket town and the Rawai...
Read moreWe originally only booked for 1 night but ended up staying for 8 nights as it was immaculate. We started off in the bigger rooms but went to the smaller one as we extended our stay. The rooms were exactly the same just a bit smaller but no problem. The wet room is great. 'Moon' on reception was a lovely lady and very helpful. Was always on hand with a smile. The hotel does not have a pool but with plenty of lovely beaches nearby it was not a problem for us. We hired a moped for the time we were there so managed to see a lot of lovely beaches. Would definitely...
Read moreGreat place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds. The staff here is awesome and they love to help you out.
I think it's about a 10 minute walk to Kamala beach. The only thing they need to work on is the Wi-Fi speeds as we are having an issue in room 104.
Great place to stay if you want to save some money and have a nice clean room close to local eateries with local prices. Smart bus stop is not far away either. I think it's a 13 minute walk which can take you all over the west side...
