We stumbled upon Two Sisters Restaurant while trying to find a place for breakfast. At first I thought we had gotten lost and only stopped in for coffee, but was pleasantly surprised when they brought out the food menus.
We ordered the noodle soup with beef and chicken, papaya salad, a fresh passion fruit smoothie, a powdered coffee drink, and pad thai with shrimp.
The noodle soup itself resembled a Hong Kong style wonton noodle soup. The noodles were a chewy rice noodle. The chicken and beef were both very flavorful and tender. The noodle soup also came with fish balls that I personally didn’t enjoy but some others may.
I asked for a mild spice level in papaya salad, and the owner put in a single Thai chili pepper. I thought it was the perfect level of spice and had just a little kick while not being too overpowering. The papaya salad itself was extremely flavorful and refreshing and came with some dried shrimp that added a nice savory flavor.
The passion fruit smoothie was extremely refreshing and the coffee was decently strong. The coffee itself with powdered, but I personally didn’t mind since I just wanted something with caffeine in the morning.
The pad thai was probably the best I’ve had so far during my stay here. The noodles were extremely flavorful.
The entire meal came out to about ฿500. I’d say it was very filling and well worth making a stop here for breakfast. I think this will definitely be our go to breakfast spot during our stay here. The portion sizes are smaller than what I’m used to in Texas, but to me that means you can order a wider variety of dishes to try in a given meal which I actually prefer.
Overall I would highly recommend those in the area to stop by for a meal and support a local small business owner. Their food is much better than what you may find on the side of the beach at a much more affordable price point. We will definitely be making this...
Read moreAte here last night. We walked in just as they were closing but they kindly said we could stay and eat. We ordered a green curry, seafood in chilli paste with rice and chicken fried rice. It was all so delicious. The dishes felt light and had lots of veg which was a bonus. Just all really great tasting food. We’ll be visiting again to try more of the menu!
Update: have eaten there a couple more times and excellent again! Highlights have been the beef in garlic pepper and the chicken glass noodle salad-spicy. Be warned if you ask for the salad spicy it will come spicy- but I loved it! Great place,...
Read moreExcellent Thai food and good value for money.
We ate here with our two kids and everyone came away happy. The crispy chicken was excellent, particularly with the sweet chilli sauce that came with it. Pad kra pao gai (fried chicken with basil leaves) was a big hit as was the outstanding green curry. The pad thai was good but just a little on the sweet side for our tastes.
The restaurant is not much to look at but don't let that fool you - it's well worth a trip if you're staying in Kamala or just on your way through to other beaches...
