This place has location location but not much else at the moment.Difficult to find as it doesnt have a front on the street but has to be accessed by Mamma Mia restaurant and then down to the beach to get to the stairs. Its old,run down and in need of a makeover but this seemed to be happening whilst we were there. The rooms are small and bathroom even smaller but its clean, has a fridge and kettle, toiletries, air conditioner and right on the beach. There was no breakfast with the booking but they are in the process of building a breakfast area and up dating the decking and gardens. No pool but you do have the beach in front of you but its tidal and the boats and jet skis are parked there blocking your view.Deck chair where mouldy and dirty.Chairs on your balcony where uncomfortable but we moved an upright chair onto there so at least one of us were comfortable.Reception isnt much and a very simple affair.Nice staff but not overly attentive.Access to your room is down a thin coridoor that backs onto someones garden and is a bit smelly at times.TV has 3 channels and only 1 news in English|Because of the renovations going on we were sitting listening to drills, hammers and other construction work but my husband just sat himself down and oversaw their work(he actually enjoyed it).We paid the most to stay at this place than any of the other stunning places in Thailand and was not worth the price but I look forward to seeing what they turn this place into in the near future.I would stay here again if there was breakfast and maybe dedicated access to the beach.Located really close to the night markets which during our stay had music going until after midnight and one morning starting again around 6.30am but I presume there may have been special celebrations going on because our last night was noise free and a fireworks display at 8.30pm.I think there are much better places to stay for the price on Kamala beach but lets see what they turn the place into...
Read moreThe staff that I had contact with was very nice and welcoming. I had communication from the very beginning and throughout. I was even allowed to check in early. I booked for 6 days but didn’t stay 2 hours at most ..the time to research another place to stay. The room as an amazing view but it felt super unsafe. A door connecting the next room was unlocked and unable to lock but I was told no one was next door. This still was a very uneasy and unsafe feeling. You can hear everything next door, outside, and anyone walk by. It has a Motel 6 vibe with the door entry being from directly outside. You have to walk through what seem like an old closed down restaurant to get to it. Then down a walkway behind buildings with what look like septic tanks sitting within arm reach. The trash and clutter around the place was stomach turning. The room also although had new bedding and had been attempted to upgrade..it seemed it was done not by a professional. You can see holes in the ceiling around light fixtures. Grime was all over the bathroom from seems like years of accumulation. The room had a very strong odor that smelled like urine lingering all over it. The smell gets into your lungs pretty bad and your clothes and hair. When I left the kind responsive host stop responding to me anymore although it showed them reading my message saying I had to leave and thank you. I felt this was rude as I know I’m not the first person to immediately leave once arriving to the conditions of the place. I wasn’t even looking for a refund as the pictures match but it leaves out the views of the terrible parts. The terrible parts superseded anything else which was the awesome view of the ocean but filthy beach. Plastic, bottles, horse waste, paper is everywhere on the beach outside. ||If your standards are mediocre, below average, or not even slightly high this place may...
Read moreTo enter, you have to walk through a restaurant a bit, not ideal. The hotel is old . OMG, BEACH FRONT VERY DIRTY UNKEPT . LEAKING IN BATHROOM everything outdated!.. cheap dollari store plastic shower curtain. NO Tea cups but have a kettle. Patio cheers for general use was filty. Like very filty, no one sits there . The dirt says they haven't been clean in months. A dead lizard was there ants feasting on it. Bedframe has lots of water marks and some I don't know on it lol. No phone in rooms. no elevator, not wheelchair friendly. The room had nice air conditioning. The taller young guy at the front desk is professional and nice.. The view from the balcony was nice though trees are there you will still enjoy. I think the reviews from here on out will be thankful for the VIEW, not so much, the hotel. The only hotel with unkept beach front is this one Thai kamala beach front . You won’t want to lie down. You will walk down in front of another hotel swim and lay there. House keeping lack the tools to clean the dirt off the white patio cheers. They brought a dry towel...no soap no water. Still, the chairs were filty full of dirt.
Bottom half of the chairs went back white and the top wasn't cleaned properly so remaind stined and layered with dirt. 🤔..look at the pictures.. funny this other guess notice they did that too .. it came up in conversation 😔
THEY SHOULD BAN THE HORSES OFF THE BEACH ITS ANIMAL ABUSE .. IF YOU DO CHOSE TO STAY, THERE JUST LOOK AT THE HORSES SO SAD..!!!!!!!!!
I gave the location a 5 star because it's the ocean, and you can hear the waves.
The service gets a 5 as the young receptionist was professional and...
