Kamala Seafood — Restaurant in Kamala

I would really like to give this place a better review, however as much as I tried to fit in with peaking limited thai, of course not great translation, and ordering solely thai food the staff were so focused on others all ordering spagetti, ribs burgers, I thought this was kamala seafood, i went for seafood but at 1500 bhat for 4 prawns, that $72 aussie with blackend heads and obviously not super fresh, I opped for the thai menu, when the staff asked how it was and i said, i wouldn't be coming back the waiter didn't say "sorry your experience wasnt great, he said good don't come back" then said everthing on camera for some reason as if my complaint wasn't real and could be justified on ctv footage, i can see why people would like, and if you order western food it looked to be served immidiatly, however the thai food seemed to take a while, as I say any attempt of using my thai was ignored, it was a shame as I'd hoped for a...

There's many seafood restaurant along this stretch but I think the clean and bright layout attracted me here. They have a trolley of live seafood for selection on display. Once u chose the fish u want, u can instruct the restaurant to cooked it in the style you want and there are many flavours available. They also tried to hard sell me mussels pot which I succumbed to the pressure. The pot of mussels is good for value, but I think the mussels were underfed. The shells are big but the meat is a tiny portion. The rest of the food we ordered were all delicious. The restaurant can be a bit hot and humid as their ventilation is not the best. We had a couple of Thai dishes and all were great. Also the plates, not the average white ones, added to a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately they serve the curry only starting at a medium spicy level, what was too much for my wife and kids, and borderline for me. Taste was great though less spicy would have been amazing. I don’t know why they cannot adjust that to the tourists, like anywhere else where you can choose your spiciness level.

Lots of more dishes also looked delicious and we will definitely come back.
