As a couple who travels extensively and appreciates both authentic flavors and well-crafted cuisine, we can confidently say that Little Lillo on Kamala Beach is a place worth visiting. While we are big fans of Asian cuisine, Andalusian dishes hold a special place in our hearts. It’s rare for us to return to the same restaurant during a trip, but we made an exception here – and that says a lot.
We started with the oysters, which were fresh and lightly seasoned – a perfect way to awaken the palate. The scallops, served in their shells, stood out for their delicate flavor, expertly prepared without being overpowered by seasoning – a true showcase of respect for quality ingredients. The cuttlefish and mussels were equally delightful, well-balanced, and perfectly cooked. The clams, in particular, stood out with a sauce that harmonized beautifully with the natural brininess of the seafood.
To accompany the meal, we opted for passion fruit mojitos. These were light, refreshing, and carried just the right twist to complement the seafood dishes. It’s a small detail, but it reflects the care that Little Lillo puts into its offerings.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, and it’s evident that the team puts great effort into the quality of the dishes. The service is friendly and efficient, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The restaurant feels perfectly in tune with the laid-back charm of Kamala Beach.
Little Lillo left a positive impression – enough to warrant a second visit, which is something we almost never do while exploring new places. If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy excellent seafood in a pleasant setting, Little Lillo is a fantastic choice. We recommend it without excessive fanfare, but with...
Read moreCame here after seeing four 5 star reviews. Disappointed to say the least. Firstly it took a good while for the slowest, most unsmiling waitress in Thailand to turn up to take our order of 2 Cheng's, Paper Prawns, a Prawn Pad Thai & Red Curry chicken with chicken fried rice. We wait a bit longer, dying of thirst & another waitress comes with our drinks & prawn starter together. No big issue, at least we have something at last. Wife's prawn pad Thai then comes but not my curry. While she's being polite & waiting for my main to come yet another waitress asks if everything is ok, I say that it would be if I had some food. Seemingly my wife has been given the wrong order of seafood pad Thai. Did wonder why there was only 2 prawns visible. My curry eventually arrived & to be fair it was ok but the squid in wife's dish was unchewable & the noodles were glued together. Apart from all this the table was far too small even for 2 people. I did complain & we got an apology but that was all. Not the best experience we've had in...
Read moreIt would get 5 out of 5 for everything exept ? we dined there and had the best night so far in Thailand, However the morning after we went and asked to reserve a table for the evening, 2 people we were told they do not take reservations has too busy ,so only walk ins, they did say we would be ok around 7pm to get a table. We decided to arrive a little earlier 6.30pm and we were able to get seated. A little later 7 people arrived and said we have a table booked, the same waiter who seemed to be front of house said yes its this table here . I was annoyed that we were told differently ,so i asked the question and told them ,thats not what you do ,it should be the same for everyone. They were very apologetic and made excuses, I could sense it seemed out of their hands and they were genuinely upset, i told them it was all ok ,i just wanted to point it out. For the owner of the Restaraunt please take note of...
