Whether he was helping us plan our day trips, sharing local insights, or simply sitting down for a good chat, he made us feel like we were visiting old friends rather than staying at a guesthouse. It’s rare to find hosts so genuinely passionate about what they do and so dedicated to making every guest feel at home. Mit Blick auf die vielen positiven Bewertungen tut es uns fast leid, dass wir unsere Erfahrung etwas kritischer schildern müssen.

Zunächst das Positive: Die Zimmer sind äußerst sauber und sehen genauso aus wie auf den Fotos. Die Atmosphäre ist toll – der Blick aufs Meer, die Sonnenauf- und -untergänge sind wirklich beeindruckend. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und bietet alles, was man braucht: Kühlschrank, Teekocher und vieles mehr.

Nun zu den weniger erfreulichen Aspekten. Vom viel gelobten freundlichen und bemühten Personal haben wir leider nicht viel mitbekommen. Während unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir nur Kontakt mit einer netten Dame, die das Frühstück zubereitet hat. Als wir sie baten, für uns einen Roller in der Stadt zu organisieren, sagte sie zuerst zu, änderte ihre Aussage am nächsten Tag jedoch und meinte, wir müssten uns selbst darum kümmern.

Ein weiteres Problem hatten wir mit dem Frühstück. Da wir an zwei Tagen früh morgens zum Tauchen mussten, fragten wir, ob es möglich wäre, zumindest einen Kaffee etwas früher zu bekommen (Frühstück gibt es offiziell erst ab 8 Uhr). Zunächst meinte sie, sie würde sich darum kümmern. Doch als wir am Morgen vor 8 Uhr beim Frühstücksbereich waren, war niemand da – bis fünf Minuten nach 8 Uhr war die gesamte Anlage wie ausgestorben. Wir mussten also ohne Kaffee oder Frühstück los.

Der viel gelobte Besitzer, Ben, war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nicht vor Ort, sodass wir ihn nicht kennenlernen konnten. Die Dame vor Ort war zwar freundlich, aber in einigen Situationen nicht besonders zuverlässig, was leider zu Enttäuschung geführt hat.

Insgesamt hat die Unterkunft definitiv Potenzial, vor allem wegen der schönen Lage und der Ausstattung. Doch in Sachen Service gibt es unserer Meinung nach noch...

First of all, I would like to say that it is an exceptional accommodation. We always used the way up as training. The accommodation itself was simply brilliant if you are looking for peace and quiet, away from mass tourism. The view from the terrace, the evening swim on the terrace were real highlights. When we had to leave, it was not easy for us. Ben, the owner, is a very nice and cool person. He helped us with everything, you couldn't do better. We looked forward to breakfast every day. If you are looking for something special, this is the right place. Ben, we'll see...
