Lanta Beachfront Resort — Hotel in Ko Lanta Yai

We stayed here for more than 7 days and it was pretty much perfect.

Incredible location, it is right on the beach so you can easily hear the sea from your room, or if you get out of your A/C ed room, you can chill at the beach bar or jump directly in the sea after a couple of steps. The resort is also close to many other restaurants and 7/11s and so on...

The food was also amazing, we had some of the best prawns we've ever had. They might not be on the menu though, so just ask them maybe they have some extras or they just cooked something fresh that it's not on the menu - order confidently, again, the food was spot on.

They also have a pool, a plastic one, but fun nevertheless. It's fairly deep (~1.4m) and has a volleyball net in the middle and enough space to pass a ball around. And yeah, a big pink flamingo to float around in it.

A couple of cute animals were also around, including a cat with a lion haircut, a dog, bunnies, some chickens and most annoyingly a bunch of roosters that inevitably will wake you up in the morning - I could've easily spend my days here without these roosters... :)

We also worked here for a couple of days, and while the internet is working pretty good at the reception/bar/restaurant area, in the rooms it could've been better.

All in all a very good experience thus the 5 stars. I'm sure they will take care of the smaller things stated above in the future so no worries there.

We are fortunate enough to be well travelled and still going strong. Lanta Beach Resort is one of those gems you don’t want to tell anyone about because you want it all for yourself! Nando has created a little slice of heaven in what is one of the last remaining parts of unspoiled paradise. He’s not finished yet either so expect more good things to come. You are spitting distance from the beach when you wake up in their spacious chalets. I had the sea view chalet which is the only one I could see on this stretch of the island. Rooms are clean and the Aircon works really well. WiFi is stable and quick. This is not a given on Koh Lanta so don’t take it for granted! The restaurant serves a condensed selection of freshly prepared Thai & Western offerings compared to the massive and often warmed up meals served elsewhere. Massaman Curry and Breakfast Bun is a must! The Beach Bar is simply superb. Cocktails are made right in front of you using top shelf ingredients and are astoundingly good value for money. We almost drank them dry of Martinis. Massage facilities right next door, again at great value for money prices. I particularly enjoyed the adult pool after swimming in the sea. I have been to Koh Lanta in the past and decided based on some of the reviews that the Lanta Beach Resort would be a good choice to book a few days, best decision we made, we booked for 4 days and ended up staying for 11. The rooms have all been renovated in the past few months, clean, new paint, beds, hot water tanks (we never ran out of water once!) and what an amazing staff! The owner Nando is a charmer who caters to his guests' every need, along with his right-hand assistant Nadia our experience was one of the highlights of our visit. Nadia was extremely helpful in assisting us with the planning of a few our excursions and along with her dry wit she made us feel like family. If you are planning a trip to Koh Lanta I strongly suggest you stay a few nights at the Lanta Beach Resort, it is located right in the middle of Khlong Khong beach with a great selections of restaurants and bars far enough away that they didn’t interfere with our stay and the sunsets from our bungalows deck and the small bar were breathtaking. We will be back very soon and have recommended this resort to a few travelers we met along the way, and they have enjoyed their time with Nando and his crew as much as we did.
