Quite honestly I think this is the best restaurant in Krabi. The food is hearty delicious southern Thai cuisine and you can tell they used the freshest ingredients. It was so good we had to go back twice in our short stay there.
The decor was so charmingly unique, tucked up a small side road on a hill. The restaurant is housed in a purpose built house pared back to basics with large spaces and spotless cement floors. The open plan flows out to the gardens surrounding it and looks out to the ocean in the distance. Come before sunset to see it. You feel part of the surroundings as you dine.
Highlights were the tasty soft shell crab in a creamy red curry sauce, piquant papaya salad in a sweet sour fish sauce, and beef salad cooked medium rare but with added kick in a fresh red chilli sweet sauce. The other dishes were equally satisfying.
Deserves to be recognised as one of the best places to eat in the area. We were surprised at how reasonable the prices were too. Definitely...
Read moreMy partner and I have holidayed in Thailand every winter for the last 8 years (apart from Covid when we had to stay in the UK). When we arrive we always head to our very favourite restaurant in Khlong Muong. Formerly called Sandwich Me (no sandwiches!), it is now called Thai Me and without doubt is the best restaurant in the area. The setting is peaceful and has wonderful views, the ambience is perfect, the owners are brilliant, and the food is the freshest you'll find and very high in quality. Everything they make tastes beautiful. My favourites are the prawn cakes (Ollie, one of the owners travels a long way to find the best prawns), and the chicken panang curry (which he makes with fresh coconut cream, never tinned). We have never once been disappointed and we consider ourselves very lucky that over the next few weeks we will be going many times. If you are in the area and looking for a superb restaurant,...
Read moreAmazing food, and amazing ambience. So glad I came here one afternoon not knowing what to expect but ended up sitting here, resting and recovering from a difficult week. The ambience was so relaxing and quiet that it felt like being in an extended open living room of a traditional straits-born Chinese house, with lots of ventilation, and quiet calm.
The food was delicious. I ordered the salmon salad (traditional Thai-styled), and a mango smoothie. I also ordered a coconut smoothie which is not pictured here but absolutely wonderful. Highly highly recommended.
The Google Maps location for this place is accurate. Just make sure to turn in the small lane from the main road.
Oh, and there is actually a beautiful view of the sea and a photo doesn’t do it justice so it’s better if you come here and see it for yourself. 👍🏼👍🏼☺️
I also noticed their numerous Trip Advisor awards confirming their...
