Terrace True Thai Cuisine [opp. Dusit Thani] ร้านอาหารเดอะเทอเรส — Restaurant in Krabi Province

I went here for dinner tonight as it was directly opposite my hotel, the Dusit Thani, and I wanted to eat in a restaurant tonight as opposed to one of the smaller options that are available in the town. Walked up the steps to be greeted very warmly by a lady who I assumed to be the owner, and I later found out she was. I was shown to a table and they switched on a fan to cool the air. Ordered a drink and was shown the menu with an extensive choice of Thai food. I chose the BBQ King Prawns with steamed rice, which was served with a small bowl of chilli in fish sauce if I wanted extra spice. It was perfect, lovely big prawns, well cooked and the chilli sauce gave that little kick. It is a really nice restaurant, lots of tables, tastefully decorated inside with lanterns, plants and silks hanging from the ceiling. So glad I went here, it was a great dinner in a great restaurant and the team of people who work here are very friendly and know what customer service is. Try this restaurant, it's really good. Enjoyed last night so much I had to come back and have prawns again, tried the deep fried in chilli paste, just fabulous. ❤️...

We visited on spec. I simply liked the way it looked from the outside but this proved to be the jewel in the crown for our holiday thus far. The restaurant is indeed on a terrace and has perhaps a couple different levels in the dining area. A warm welcome awaited us. Points to note. The table had a table cloth and it also had cloth napkins beautifully folded. The waiter was extremely courteous the atmosphere was cosy and the place as clean. The food when it arrived was delicious, beautifully cooked we actually ate every morsel on our plate, left nothing behind. Once our plates were taken away tooth picks arrived immediately and I noticed for the table next to ours a waiter was waiting for their plates to be taken away so he could deliver the toothpicks, which shows me attention to detail. Well done. We ordered perhaps as a test to the chef's skill a 'deep fried ice cream'. When it arrived it was perfect. crispy on the outside and stone cold on the inside. well done chef. If there were 6 Stars to give out, this place would be deserving of it. The interior decor of potted plants and mood lighting drew us in from the street. The friendly staff were eager to serve us and very soon we were enjoying a bbq fish platter, presented on sculptured banana leaves. Followed by banana fritters and ice cream, washed down with a cocktail each. We laughed so much, that I accidentally overturned our cocktails, much to my horror. It was all swept up and replacements made before I could feel any more embarrassed. Our Rep said, there was no night life on the main road.
