Here I am writing another review. Hotel Adam Krabi has shared a space in our hearts. Never a day goes by without us having greeted by the hotel staffs. They were friendly and always come up to us to have some conversations. Even while we were waiting for our transports, they were happy to fill our time with conversations. The restaurant and surprisingly, kitchen staffs were also out to greet us and squeeze conversations with us despite how busy they were. Body language and facial expression tells. It's the vibe and excitement about meeting us for that whole 10 days made us feel important and appreciated which says much about guest services of a 5 star hotel.
We were honoured when the kitchen staff approach us to let us try out dishes they made. The restaurant waiters once again were the ones who were extremely excited to see us. Ensuring that our needs were properly tended to. We even made them as our new international friends, keeping in touch. It was nice knowing people abroad.
The kids missed the breakfast and hotel vibes, the play room, the indoor pools and the main pool. If 10 days seemed long, to them it seemed short.
The room was spacious and nice to be in. With the pool it was like an icing on top. The welcome message on the bed with the swan towel figure was very welcoming and highly appreciated. The welcome letter with our name was also great. The Hotel App is very future ready and convenient. Location wise is also great.
The staffs at the play room were also patient when communicating with the children.
Some suggestion: Perhaps TV can have connections to iPhones/iPad or have any Netflix added will be great! -More floor towels provided would be great. More halal options (chicken and meat) would be wonderful as it will attract more guests looking for 'Halal-friendly' accommodation More activities and in room dining options to be found in the app will be great.
Some questions: My children were curious as to what is the concept of the hotel and why is everything orange from the building, to the slippers, to the umbrella, to the bathrobe and to the waiters ? :) It was lovely and instagramable. It stands out a lot from the other hotels. Even on Google Map!
Finally, once gain, we would like to thank all the restaurant and kitchen/cook staffs especially Nick, Nan, Kaew, Cream, Namva for their wonderful kitchen service. We would also like to thank Farook, Mike, Tia, Jane, Risa, Mays, Queen, Wall for their helpful and kind guest services.. Thank you all the staffs from the Kids Play room especially the very patient staff, Barbie. Last but not least, thank you the room maintenance staffs for always trying to ensure our room amenities are topped up and keeping our rooms clean and pleasant.
We will miss...
Read moreWow! What an amazing welcome to Thailand! After flight delays, we were a bit taken aback by the incredible 5 star service that awaited us. I want to first give a shout out to Tia, who made us feel so special during our trip, greeting us with a smile and always attentive and making sure we have what we need. If you ever seen the K-Drama, King the Land, she reminds me a lot like the lead actress in her commitment to outstanding hospitality. There were so many details, ensuring we had a towel and a drink on our arrival, staying in comfy seating and we also had welcome snacks and drinks in our room as well. Honestly felt like you had everything you needed and more! Even a great beach/pool kit we could borrow. The private pool was cool and refreshing after a hot day. We had an issue with the shower drain not draining so well but they took care of it promptly when we informed them and had no further issues during our 5 night stay. We heard loud music/noise from nearby that was far more noticeable outside but wasn’t enough to disturb a good night’s sleep. We also only saw like one mosquito which was a huge comfort as I was bitten alive on our excursions.
Everyone in the hotel greeted us with a smile and were so helpful and caring. Aof, Sunny, and Stang were so sweet and accommodating especially with us not knowing exactly what we wanted sometimes at the restaurant. I also want to say that as someone who doesn’t usually care for hotel breakfast and consider myself a foodie, I was blown away by the quality and freshness of the food. Breakfast was as excellent as the reviews mentioned and they also did a phenomenal job accommodating special requests. I certainly enjoyed a young coconut drink every morning! The porridge was great as well as the dim sum. My partner enjoyed the bacon and fried eggs.
We also enjoyed a great dinners here - the crab curry was unforgettably delicious and the mango sticky rice was the best I’ve had so far in Thailand (we tried one other restaurant that charged half the cost and it didn’t even compare with regards to the mango sweetness level and perfectly cooked rice, not to mention they didn’t have the delicious coconut ice cream).
It was also perfectly located, next door to to the Blue Mountain Night Market which was a lot of fun with shows (like fire show and live singing) and walking distance to Ao Nang Beach, about 15 min. We also took advantage of an excursion to Phi Phi island, which was an incredible time and competitively priced.
All in all 10/10 would...
Read moreA lovely, almost brand new (built 2024) hotel. The hotel has a lot of positives, including wonderful staff, 2 pools, comfy beds and a great shower. It's also super clean, as you would expect form a 5 star hotel. This is one of the only 5 star hotels in Ao Nang.
However, it's is not perfect. They made an interesting design choice by deciding to put fairly large private pools on every single balcony in the hotel. Private pools sounds amazing, but due to the design of the hotel, they don't receive much sunlight and aren't heated. So the pools were considerably colder than the main pools. I'd estimate around 20-22 C. This takes them closer to plunge pool temperatures. This means that they don't get used very often.
The private pools are also huge. They take up the entire balcony of every single room, so there isn't actually a userable balcony. I feel like smaller hot tubs would have been a better choice.
The other issue was the breakfast setup. They do a lot of things right here in terms of choice and variety. They have fruit pre-cut in bowls that are kept in a glass fridge - this prevents flies that you mind and many breakfast buffets in SE asia. They also have de-seeded watermelon which was a really nice.
However the breakfast menu where you order hot things is a bit confusing. They call things sandwiches, when they actually mean a single slice of toast. In English a toast is a single slice of bread toaasted with something on it, a sandwich is two slices of bread not toasted, and open sandwich is one slice of bread generally not toasted.
Also there is a hot breakfast option which includes eggs. However, it wasn't obvious that you could just order the eggs on their own. This is a very small detail I know, but I think they could improve the menu design of breakfast.
The other issue I noticed was the AC panel in the room was very bright. I turned the temperature down at night and it lit up the whole room. The room doors were also a bit thin and had gaps at the bottom, letting in sound and light from the corridor.
All that being said, I would absolutey stay here again. It's a modern, comfortable hotel that is a great place to base yourself in the Krabi / Ao Nang region. I was particularly impressed with the staff here. Everyone greets you in a warm and friendly manner and they make every effort to help you enjoy your stay. The check-in experience was particulaly nice, where you are led through to the library and get a nice cold drink and a scented towel...
