Curry Kitchen & Bar offers a delightful surprise for those seeking authentic southern Thai cuisine. Stepping into a Thai restaurant in the hotel, I wasn't expecting much, but I was thoroughly impressed by the food's quality and the exceptional service. Having recently dined at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Krabi that left me disappointed, Curry Kitchen & Bar truly exceeded my expectations. The star of the show is undoubtedly the food. Each dish, from appetizers to desserts, boasted a delicious complexity of flavors that tantalized the taste buds. It was a symphony of each flavor perfectly balanced, leaving you wanting more. Every element stayed true to its southern Thai roots. This intricate interplay of flavors is a true testament to authentic southern Thai cuisine.

Adding to the delightful experience was the restaurant manager, Mr. Khao. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to share the story of the restaurant, each dish we ordered, and the chef's inspiration behind them. He graciously accepted both compliments and feedback, ensuring a great dining experience.

While the restaurant's signature cocktails were decent, they weren't quite as outstanding as the food. I and my partner had pineapple, tamarind and mulberry cocktails. If you're looking to try one, I recommend the tamarind cocktail. But these cocktails still need improvement.

Overall, Curry Kitchen & Bar offers a delicious and authentic Thai dining experience at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable meal. ​The service was truly excellent—warm, attentive, and highly professional. A huge shout-out to Nan, Nick, Sorn, and Park for making both of our visits so wonderful. Don’t be fooled that this hotel restaurant is an absolute gem surrounded by the plethora of mediocre tourist traps on the main drag of Ao Nang. My wife and I traveled from Bangkok and as absolutely amazing as the food was there, Curry Kitchen and Bar surprisingly was hands down the best Thai food of our trip so far. The food makes this place Michelin bib gourmand worthy. We ordered spicy shrimp lemongrass and local palm seed salad (yum look-chok goong sod), red curry river snail with betel leaves (kaeng kua hoy khom bai chapluu), and fried spicy melinjo leaves with crab meat and vermicelli (pad pak miang nuea puu).
