Our stay at Krabi Cha-Da Resort was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Upon arrival, the bellboy gave us no information whatsoever about the hotel’s facilities. We were placed on the 6th floor, which required climbing multiple flights of stairs beyond the reach of the elevator. Despite a bellboy escorting us, we had to carry our own luggage, which was exhausting. We are relatively young and fit, yet we still struggled—so I can’t imagine how difficult this would be for older guests or those with mobility issues.||We had originally booked for five nights but left after just one, as the conditions were unacceptable. The safety deposit box in our room didn’t work, and even after calling an engineer three times, it remained broken. The air conditioning was ancient, unbearably loud, and completely ineffective. Worse still, it leaked water all over the room throughout the night, soaking our clothes and shoes. When I reported this issue, I was casually told that the unit couldn’t be set below 24°C or it would leak—an absolutely ridiculous excuse for such a basic amenity failing. To make matters worse, the shower tray kept overflowing with water, leaving the bathroom constantly flooded.||This hotel claims to be four-star, but in reality, it’s barely worthy of two. The breakfast was revolting—food was left uncovered, flies swarmed everywhere, and it looked completely inedible. I refused to eat it because I wouldn’t even feed that standard of food to an animal.||Not once did any member of staff offer an apology for the endless issues we faced. At checkout, the manager finally showed up, only to be rude and dismissive, insisting that we should have informed him personally. We had already complained three times to different staff members—why was it our responsibility to hunt him down? It’s his team’s job to escalate issues, and his attitude was shockingly unprofessional.||If you’re looking for a holiday where you feel comfortable, safe, and valued as a guest, avoid this place at all costs. It’s filthy, poorly maintained, and the staff couldn’t care less about customer service. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences...

On our honeymoon, we chose this hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 6:30 in the morning, but we were informed that they would check us in no earlier than 11:00, so I offered them money and asked for a room with an improved view. They took the money, settled us earlier (around 8:00 am), but the room was ordinary with a view of the construction site, with which we lived all 2 weeks. I paid extra money for an improved room, not just for checking in 2-3 hours earlier.. Every morning at 7:00 the construction began, right under the windows. There was no chance to sleep, construction is underway even on weekends. There are no lunches at all in the hotel, it is unclear what kind of full board they offer. Once there wasn't even dinner, they said for technical reasons. Only the dinners are delicious, but without drinks (only tea/coffee), there is not even water. There is practically nothing for breakfast, and what there is seems to have been lying for a week - dried rolls, incomprehensible sausages, boiled eggs, toast. There is so much bleach in the pools that if you dive, then your eyes hurt. All the staff does not speak English, even the general manager understands very poorly. Therefore, it was difficult for us to discuss anything with the staff, they just don't understand anything.
Only cleaners do their job really well.
Keep in mind, a multi-storey building is being built right under the windows of the hotel, it looks like a hospital, this building has already closed the entire view of the sea and construction will go on every day, I think for a very long time. Also in the hotel itself, the staff starts hammering something every other day, drilling at 7-8 in the morning, people do not understand at all that vacationers need silence. And so constantly, even on Sunday, it is a shock for Europeans.
It is very unpleasant to meet a low-quality service in such a wonderful country. Thailand has always been known for a high level of service, but this hotel knows nothing about...
Read moreThis was a experience that I don't want to repeat. We first stayed at the Rawai beach resort which was lovely...same hotel group as Cha Da resort. Both are meant to be four star hotels, but Cha Da Resort in Krabi is bearly a three star. Started at check in, staff very off hand but we thought with the language barrier this is normal. We were put in a room on the fifth floor which was fine as it had a good view, but that was about it. The room looked nice, but there was certain things about the room that was below average for a four star hotel, and i am judging this purely on the Rawai beach hotel in Phuket. Firstly the bed, you could feel the springs in your back...very uncomfortable, and had to have it changed after day two. Next, the bedding old and stained, not four star as stated. For Wi-Fi lovers....not here...very weak signal. Apart from a few other minor details the room was okay. Next, the pool area was small and the pictures on the internet make it look much better than it is. Now I know it is low season but I think maintenance should be started later in the day, eight in the morning is a bit early with a hammer. Looking for peace while at the pool...not happening, maintenance ongoing. Now I don't know if were unlucky but we had the room cleaning staff on our floor and between seven thirty and eight am..you were woken by them shouting to each other in the passage...so no sleeping in if you want too. Breakfast was very average...but okay, and some of the staff very off hand. In conclusion....a bad experience for us and as this is our second trip to Thailand, This was the first hotel we have found we didn't enjoy one bit. As you see I do a lot of reviews and i try and give fair comment and opinions. CHA DA RESORT...
