It's hidden at the back of a Thai food restaurant. There was a fan but it was still quite hot. There was confusion with what I ordered, even though I clearly pointed at the menu and said how many of each item I wanted with the waiter reading it back. The 2 papadam never arrived and I was given a paneer pakoda instead which I never ordered. When I explained to the man waiter he did not understand and just said yes that's it when I told him I never ordered it. In the end I took that back to the hotel and ate it the next day cold and it was good, but not something I would have ordered. The onion bhaji and chana masala was good but tasted too salty and too much salt for my taste. Could do with a little less salt. The Nan was excellent and the rice ok. After asking for poppadoms a second time we only got one and no chutneys. It was the small store type and not freshly made. Prices were excellent and cheaper than everywhere else around, but not as nice seating or surroundings or cool as other restaurants in the area and would rather pay more to get what I...
Read moreA tad bit difficult to find at first as it is at the back of the eating area of a Thai restaurant. But well worth the search.
Reminded me of my trip to India
If you’re looking for a quick bite, look elsewhere- good food takes time and I can say with confidence that this was some of the best Indian I’ve ever had. Meals made to order, not mass produced.

Be brave and go for it anyway, I am hyper sensitive to cilantro flavor and I could barely taste it with all the other amazing flavors going on.
I had the mutter paneer, rice, aloo paratha and salt lassi - haven’t had a good salt lassi in years! In the states they overdo the salt but this was perfect and I will 100% be back multiple times before the end of my trip!
Price was extremely fair given the serving size! I left...
Read moreMyself and my partner decided to eat here after seeing the good food reviews on google. The restaurant is at the back of another so not the easiest to stumble across but thankfully we had seen this in previous reviews so knew what to look for :-) The service was brilliant, the owners were super friendly and accommodating. We ordered chicken pakoras, chicken jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and garlic naan. The portions were generous and the food itself was so fresh and flavoursome, the curry wasn’t overly oily and we liked that they asked about our spice preference so we could have it to our liking (and it was perfect). I would recommend this place and for sure return if I come back to Aonang....
