Worst customer service. The overall stay was good but there are two major issues that I would like to highlight here for future guests: 1. The staff at the front desk is very very unprofessional and arrogant. They don't have manners to speak to the guests. They won't give a pleasant smile and moreover will speak to you in a very loud tone, make fun of you and abuse you in their local Thai language and at last, is least interested or bothered to help the guests in any manner. To name, the GSA - NEE AND PRAEW abused us and made fun of us in their local Thai language ( thanks to Google translate for showing us their abusive language). 2 Please beware of checking things in the bedroom as soon as you check-in and take pictures of each and everything for eg, microwave glass, induction glass, plates, bowls, glasses and most importantly check for stains on pillows, bedsheets, towels and ac duvets and inform the front desk or housekeeping immediately upon check-in and after they do a routine cleaning everyday. We have a major issue upon check-out as there were stains on the pillows on the lower side due to moisture inside the room and we were not faulty for this but the front desk manager, “BRIANNE” charged 400 Thai Bhat from the security deposit paid upon check-in. We tried to explain her that the stains are due to the moisture in two of our rooms our of 3booked rooms and we are not at fault but she told us that she will charge us for pillow stains in 1room anyhow and cannot trust the guest and moreover said the guest has to trust that as per the hotel standard, the housekeeping team will not place stained pillows. We asked her why was this not explained to us upon check-in or why was there no checklist given to us at the time of check-in so that we could have checked this to avoid any kind of undemanding charges upon check-out but she said she cannot do anything and the guest should check all this on their own. Attaching photos for guest’s reference to check if we were at fault anywhere. I WOULD REQUEST ALL GUESTS TO EITHER DEMAND A CHECK-LIST OF ALL THE ITEMS PLACED INSIDE THE ROOM/SUITE THAT CAN BE CHARGED FROM THE DEPOSIT IF FOUND NOT IN ORDER AS PER THE T&C's OF THE HOTEL AT THE TIME OF CHECK-IN OR DEMAND A HOUSEKEEPING PERSON TO ACCOMPANY YOU TO THE ROOM TO EXPLAIN AND INSPECT THE ITEMS THAT CAN BE CLAIMED UNNECESSARILY TO THE GUEST UPON CHECK-OUT!!!!! "POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY GIVEN BY FRONT DESK STAFF AND GREEDY FOR DEDUCTING MONEY FROM THE SECURITY DEPOSIT UNNECESSARILY!!! SHAME SHAME SHAME Good things: hotel near to the beach, a car is always there to pick and drop the guests from the room to the lobby and likewise and to the beach and likewise, cleanliness is good, clean pool. Cons: Poor customer service from front desk staff, wifi connection not good in rooms. NOT RETURNING AGAIN DEFINITELY!!

We decided to stay here after seeing it in a friend’s vlog last year — she had enjoyed her trip, so we thought it might be a safe and familiar choice. On arrival, the first impression was actually quite nice. The check-in was smooth, though oddly the “welcome drink” isn’t offered at the desk — you have to walk over to the bar to collect it yourself. We booked their Sea View Suite at around ₹10k per night (off-season). The view from the room was absolutely beautiful, and it matched the pictures online. However, the furniture’s fit and finish felt average, and the mattress quality was just okay — not terrible, but it didn’t offer a particularly comfortable sleep. Overall, it looked fine but didn’t feel like premium quality for the price. Since we were tired from travelling, we ordered room service for lunch. Unfortunately, this was our first real disappointment. The food arrived cold and tasted like it came straight from a freezer — the pizza had no seasoning on the side (no oregano, no chilli flakes), the spring rolls were soggy, and the fried rice was very average. The shuttle service inside the resort is also worth mentioning — it’s essentially a pickup truck. Not only is it uncomfortable, but getting in and out is a small challenge in itself. Later that evening, we asked for extra tea bags and coffee sachets around 6 PM. It took 30 minutes for someone to bring just two of each, and when we requested more, we were told to call reception and ask again. Breakfast was another letdown — below average compared to what you’d typically get at standard hotels like Novotel or Marriott, both in terms of taste and variety. For vegetarians, the options were mostly bread and fruits.NOT RECOMMENDED FOR INDIAN TASTE. On top of that, price-wise, we actually ended up paying more here than we would have for well-known chains like Marriott or Novotel — and unfortunately, the service and food quality didn’t come close to matching those standards. Overall, the property itself is designed nicely and the view from the suite is stunning. But the hospitality, service speed, and food quality leave a lot to be desired. Maybe it’s because we’re used to exceptional hospitality where we come from, but this stay felt like the location and design were carrying the experience, while the service sadly dragged it down.

Wouldn’t Recommend – Disappointing Stay. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We booked an all-inclusive package along with a cottage villa directly through their website, and everything was confirmed at check-in. But when we went to eat at the onsite restaurant—something that should’ve been included—they tried to charge us. I explained we had the all-inclusive deal, and the waiter told me to speak to reception. Reception then said our package wasn’t valid and that they had no record of it. They mentioned they were in the process of removing the all-inclusive option from their website—which had nothing to do with us, since we booked weeks prior while it was still available. It took two full days to get someone to confirm what should’ve been clear from the start. It was frustrating, time-consuming, and completely avoidable. Other issues we had: • The in-room safe didn’t work. We were told a technician would come, but no one ever showed up, even after following up multiple times. • They only gave us half a roll of toilet paper per day, and we had to keep asking for more. They wouldn’t give us a full roll, which was just bizarre. We actually seen another review about this too. • We booked this place partly for the 12pm check-out, but on the day we were told to check out earlier because housekeeping needed the room for the next guest. • We also booked a trip to Freedom Beach through the onsite concierge. Two days later, he approached us saying he’d given us the wrong change and overpaid us—something we’re certain didn’t happen. It felt off and a bit scammy. On top of all that, the location is far from everything, the staff weren’t helpful, and there are renovations going on. The breakfast was cold, bland, and never changed the entire week we were there. I’m not someone who usually writes bad reviews, but this stay was just one issue after another. We’re two young Aussies who just wanted a relaxing week in Phuket, and sadly, the hotel ended up being the least relaxing part of the trip. Take this as your sign to check out other options—there are definitely better hotels and staff in the area.

Location: quite difficult to locate, some bolt drivers got lost trying to find the entrance Check in: was a breeze, but had to pay a deposit of 5000baht which we were not informed of even in trip or confirmation email, i wish this was more transparent. It will only be returned to you during check out after housekeeping staff check your room( it will be deducted any item is damaged or missing)- After check in, shuttle will bring you up as the rooms are location on top, lobby at the bottom of the hill. The shuttle was very dangerous , if you are with luggage, going up the hill theres no buckle to hold on to your luggage if you do not hold on to it tight enough, it will just roll off the shuttle , we were also not warned about the steep slope.> our room was located in the middle of the blocks, so the shuttle dropped us at the bottom and we had to climb the stairs with our luggages, the staff did not want to help us carry at first. - no shelter at all at the lobby, if its raining, then you’ll have to walk under the rain to the shuttle.- you can request the shuttle to drive you from your room to the lobby/vise versa as it is not really convenient with the hill and STEPS. -The first 2 days, staff was fine, all good driving us up and down whenever we called, then out of a sudden, they asked us to use the ‘shortcut’ to our room. Did not specify why, but we rejected after walking the FLOCK OF STAIRS for a day, they were at least 5 stories steep mind you.- if you do not wish to take the stairs, you may walk up/ down the hill, which is VERY dark during night time. Check out: worst day of all, they called your room at 1145 to rush you to check out, said will send a shuttle to OUR ROOM but did not specify which block they will be waiting at, we waited but no one came to our room. After waiting for 5mins? We are unsure if we should carry our luggages up or down to the different pickup point, so i used the staff phone outside to phone the lobby to clarify. The staff answering the phone did not even bother to listen to my question, she just answered, ‘check out? Yes ok we will send a shuttle’ then i asked again, WHICH BLOCK SHOULD I WAIT AT?? And she replied me ‘CHECK OUT YES OR NO?’ I said YES, then she just said OK and ENDED MY CALL. In the end, we had to carry our down luggage, without any help, up the steep stairs, and the shuttle WASN’T even there. We waited for extra 5-10mins before the shuttle came.check out: at the lobby, had to wait 10mins for housekeeping to check our rooms before we can check out successfully and get our deposit back. At the same time I had already feedback my encounter to the manager at the lobby, which said she will take care of if later. She’s fine, she apologized.> and finally it was our turn to collect the deposit, the same lady who pickup and ended my call, called out to me. ‘NI HAO NI HAO( hello hello in mandarin)I was so offended, not every asian looking person can understand mandarin and she could have spoken to me in english cause I spoke to her manager in english right? Its obvious that she did not want to speak to me probably cause i feedback about her.All in all, i will not recommend this...

Patong Bay Hill Resort ReviewStay Period: August 13-17, 2025Rating: 4/5 starsMy family and I recently spent four nights at Patong Bay Hill Resort with friends, and overall, it proved to be a pleasant hillside retreat with both strengths and minor limitations.Accommodation & LocationWe booked a pool access sea view room, which was impressively spacious. The bedroom comfortably accommodated our family of three, while the separate hall area could easily house an additional couple. The elevated location provides excellent panoramic views and delivers an authentic Thai local resort atmosphere that many guests will appreciate.Service & AmenitiesThe staff consistently demonstrated exceptional hospitality throughout our stay. Room service operates until 11 PM, with housekeeping available 24 hours - a thoughtful touch for families. One pleasant surprise was discovering the resort spans multiple buildings across different elevations. For guests who prefer not to walk extensively, the resort provides complimentary 24-hour shuttle service between buildings and to the reception area.Transportation to Patong Beach (1.5-2 km away) is conveniently provided via free shuttle service until 11 PM, with Bangla Road just another 200-300 meters beyond the beach.Dining ExperienceThe resort offers decent food quality, though options lean toward local cuisine. While vegetarians seeking Indian dishes may find limited choices, both egg-eaters and non-vegetarians will find ample variety. We particularly enjoyed the chicken delight pizza, which had a charming homemade quality reminiscent of early Asian pizza establishments.Physical ConsiderationsThe hillside location naturally involves considerable walking and elevation changes. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate this as excellent natural exercise for cardiovascular health and stamina building. However, guests with mobility concerns should be aware of the terrain.RecommendationPatong Bay Hill Resort suits families seeking a hillside location with scenic views while maintaining proximity to Patong's attractions. The combination of attentive service, spacious accommodations, and convenient transportation makes it a solid choice, particularly for those who enjoy a more secluded resort feeling without sacrificing accessibility to local amenities.Best suited for: Families, fitness enthusiasts, guests seeking authentic Thai...
