I had an okay experience here, nothing to rave about though. This would be ideal for a short stay or if you're looking for budget rooms. The Nest Resort is a B&B, not a resort or hotel - unless having a pool makes it a resort? The entrance to the place is on a side/private road which is not properly paved or maintained and constantly has stagnant water there. The rooms had a bed, a counter for small things, and a bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. There were some drainage issues with the room so we were moved to a "Deluxe" room which is literally the same as the standard room but bigger. When showering, the water leaks into the room towards the bed. There were no blinds in the shower and the hairdryer never worked. Breakfast was literally the same thing everyday - eggs and viennas with 2 slices of toast. You could get fried eggs, scrambled eggs, or an omelette; the viennas could be curly or whole or split. It was decent but I did expect way more. The hosts, a couple who lived on the premises, were courteous and friendly enough. This place would be categorised as a b&b in my experience and would suit the...
Read moreResort is ok, even rooms are at the pool next to each other so don't expect quiet, lot of people talking from morning. But worst thing is that without consent, lady woke me up with knocking at 11:30, that I should wake up! Like what the... ?! That's totally unprofessional. I am not on a school trip! I paid for a accommodation service, check out is at 12:00 and I didn't ask for waking up service! Lady walking around, waking up everyone, like people cannot set alarm or what? I could sleep little more, I really needed it, now I am spending my last time writing this review. Then they want 500 baht deposit for room, so if you would like to early checkout, that could be problem, like you can see in other review. Last thing, reception said the water in room is complimentary, but they charged me for water. Only water on table is complimentary, water in fridge is paid. They should say it...
Read moreThis was our second stay at The Nest in the past six months, as the first was so good and is didn't disappoint.||The hotel is small with only 24 rooms, the best in our view are the lower floor pool view (although we haven't stayed on the top floor). They have seating area outside which is nice as the sun goes down and it get's a bit cooler. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are kept very clean.||Around the pool are sun loungers if you don't fancy the beach everyday.||We hired a motor through the hotel which was 10-100 baht cheaper per day than some of the local rental shops.||Mi Chan & Nai who run this hotel are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and always willing to help. They really make your stay memorable.||We had booked through Booking.com, but next time will book direct with the hotel -...
