We visited the restaurant yesterday because we were craving for Indian food after eating Thai food for more than 5 days. To our surprise, the name of the restaurant is not Haldiram but diva patong. So don’t get confused. Now coming to the food, we checked the rating of the hotel which is 4.4 and went there. That’s what we always do when we eat anywhere. We ordered samosa.. and they said they will make fresh, so it will take at least 15 min. We were happy thinking at least they are cooking fresh. While waiting we ordered beer and asking for peanut masala ( chakhna) they mentioned they don’t have peanuts as it’s a low season. Meanwhile samosas came which were cooked from outside only. Inside I could feel that it’s not cooked. I showed him and he cooked it again. But the taste was still pathetic. Then for main course we ordered two curries and naan out of which they could not do garlic naan because of low season again and after a long wait of ordering main course when the food started coming. They gave us one curry and one Parantha. The other curry way too late when first curry was already over. The taste was pathetic ( it’s an understatement ) . The butter naan was cooked on Tawa and it was way too hard, not cooked and sides were uncooked. After being asked , they said the cook is not great. The owner is going to remove him. We paid more than double for food that we didn’t like. They are full scam. All good reviews are fake in my opinion. They should not run this business. Now when I’m reading the new reviews on this restaurant, I can totally relate to it. Attached is the screenshot of the bill we paid that includes unnecessary service charges and vat.i know the owner won’t like it the way i wrote it. But this is what we felt last night. Rating below - Food - negative rating Service - negative rating Interior - zero rating Price - zero rating Atmosphere- zero rating

Read moreWe are an Indian family living in The Netherlands and travel the world, this was easily the worst food ever we had and we mean it not just worst Indian food but worst food ever. Our two daughters 11 and 6 told this to us as well. Imagine experiencing some of the following: Samosas half cooked, had to be sent back. Came back so hard fried, no human teeth couldn’t break through it Naan and tandoori roti: cooked on tawa instead of tandoor. Half burnt and very thick and inconsistent throughout. Curries were decent enough to be called average taste. Worst service ever : No beer glasses, had to drink beer in IKEA big water glasses. No spoons or forks given. When asked brought only 2 for 4 people asking do we need more? Seriously? Charges : We ended up paying twice the average amount we have been paying in Thailand and Malaysia in the last days. And on top of it we were charged 10% service charge for the service that never existed. My wife contested about the service charge and after some argument, we were paid back the service charge amount in cash. Shame on the owners and shame...
