HugMe Guesthouse — Hotel in Pattaya City

We stayed here in November 2022 and I forgot to write a review then :) There are rooms on the upper floors and a bar on the 1st floor under the same owners. At night it is quite noisy because it is the city center and there are a lot of bars with loud music around. The sea is quite close, but the water on the central beach is not very good and smells of gasoline. I wouldn't recommend living here for long. But it's a great hotel if you need a cheap place to stay for a few nights or if you like nightlife. Here's why:

1. It's a small room with air conditioning for a small price. There is also free tea, coffee and cookies for residents)
2. Opposite there is a cafe with a green roof, where they sell delicious rice with chicken and broth for 45 baht in the morning and afternoon. Believe me, this is the best chicken rice I've tried in Pattaya!
3. the hotel is located in the center and you go out into the street and see a lot of bars and girls around)
4. it was very important for us that it is a pet-friendly hotel. We have 2 cats and we were allowed.

I decided to stay here for a week because of the price, location and it had a bar on the first floor. It was a very poor choice on my behalf because i was in for a nasty surprise. The rooms are big but the A/C doesn't work and they won't do anything to fix it. The women at the bar EXTREMELY GREEDY and very crabby because not many customers come into the bar compared to the other drinking holes in the area so these war mongers want to suck your wallet dry as soon as you walk in and if you don't they will give you the worst attitude. Then you can't even bar fine them !!!!!! there is not a bar on that entire street that the girls will not allow you to bar fine them. There is one specifically that really kills buisness for the bar and she is really fat and wants you to tip 100 baht on you're 200 baht bar tab for her doing absolutely nothing but cracking the top of your beer open then playing on here phone. This chick then hangs off the front stoop and screams at people to come into the bar in the rudest manner and when they walk away she yells insults at them. I read previous bad feedbacks about this place and really don't understand. Maybe we were in different places? It's one of the best guesthouses there we have ever been! Big comfortable room with fan and AC, fridge, balcony, very clean. There is a bar on the first floor, but in the rooms are so quiet! And girls from bar were so kind to us, although we didn't buy alcohol, only use tea, coffee and snacks (free!). I don't know about whom these comments about greedy girls, staff are amazing!
