Steak & Co. — Restaurant in Pattaya City

I really wanted to like this place, both as an Aussie and someone who wanted good quality meat.

I've been there twice this year, a few days apart. The first time, I went with a Hokkaido scallop dish as a main, along with a lobster bisque. A friend ordered the same as me, while another friend ordered a main (don't remember which) along with a french onion soup.

I'll start with the scallop dish. This is the worst scallop dish I'd ever eaten. I enjoy scallops, and this was just plain inedible. My friend concluded the same, and we just ate some of the artfully cut veggies on the plate, but were extremely unhappy.

Next the lobster bisque. Holy crap, it was amazing. Probably the best lobster bisque I have ever had, and that decision was unanimous between me and my buddy. I will definitely be back at this restaurant just for the bisuqe, next time I'm in Pattaya. The friend with the onion soup also raved about how good it was, but I'm not going to forgo a bisque for soup.

Second visit, me and a friend ordered burgers (blue cheese) and the bisque again. The bisque was still amazing, the burger was not that great (but not terrible). Average is the best I can say about it.

The good thing about the restaurant is the customer service though. The waitress noticed me and my friend did not eat the scallop dish, and asked about it. After hearing that we didn't enjoy it, the manager came over to ask about it, and when he heard about our experience, he refunded us the scallop dish (our mains) ie. over half our bill. He advised he had a new chef, and that they would work on it, which I appreciate.

I'll be back, and give their steak a go, after all it is a steakhouse. I'm not certain if I'll have a good steak or not, but I will be going back for the amazing...

Was looking for a good steak house and found steak & co restaurant, so I and the wife decided to check it out on 02/13/19. Used Google map to find the restaurant, after driving around for awhile we found the place. Impossible to drive through those streets, finally found a parking spot next to the wall, then used Google walk to walk to the restaurant . Finally got to the restaurant, thinking another hole in the wall. But was impressed with the lettering. After being escorted in to the restaurant was surprised that it was not a hole in the wall, but really nice indoors. Had us seated at a nice area ,we proceeded to order wife had fillet and I strip sirloin steak with side order. She loved the margarita and I the mango smoothy. Quick service and very attentive waitresses. The steaks were fantastic along with the side orders. Although pricey but we'll worth the trip here. Yes we will be coming here again. But find a parking lot and take taxi bikes to the location. I recommend this place highly if you like good steaks and...

After 2 years out of country due to covid I finally made it back into a former favorite.

They have consolidated smoking joe and steak and co into the smoking Joe's building.

I tried to order an old favorite the blue cheese wagyu burger.

It is not the same luxurious burger it once was. Gone is the wonderful brioche bun. Replaced with a standard white flour bun.

The burger lacked the good sear and crust it once had. The flavor was very bland and not rich with the normal fat content of wagyu.

The blue cheese was near flavorless and had a very watery consistency.

I was sad to see the old smoking Joe's breakfast with the thick slice bacon and good quality meals for early morning is gone . Lengkee lost loaf and smoking Joe's breakfast which were probably the two best quality...
