Updated Review April 2025:
Since my first review when Brunch & Brew first opened, I have been back a few times - usually to pick up a loaf of sourdough bread.
A few days ago, a friend and I needed a place to chat while consuming a drink and a snack. Brunch & Brew served that purpose.
I had a Avocado Yogurt Smoothie and a piece of Carrot Cake. Both were pretty good. I am glad to see Avocado Smoothies catching on in Thailand.
The service was friendly, efficient and informative. Now, long after the Covid mask-wearing time, we could see the waitresses smiles.
The atmosphere is OK. The seating arrangement is still a bit weird with some big tables and some small tables. Unfortunately, the air conditioning isn't very efficient and if you want to keep cool, you need to sit near the fan/portable A/C unit.
Prices are tilting towards the high side of normal - especially the sourdough loaves. Comparable sourdough bread can be had for half the price at the "other" bakery in Market Village.
All in all, Brunch & Brew is a pleasant place to hang out. I am glad that they occupy this retail space.
Old Review
This shop used to be "The Engine House" in the pre-Covid era.
Now, the "House of Croissants" (H.O.C.) has opened Brunch & Brew in the same spot next to McDonalds.
The employees are friendly and efficient - I can imagine their bright smiles behind their Covid masks and sparkling eyes.
I ordered the "Egg and Cheese Baguette Sandwich" and I added Bacon.
The scrambled eggs were perfect and the Bacon was crispy, but the Baguette was over-toasted and quickly became a crumbly mess.
The seating arrangements are a bit strange. There are three four-seater tables and one longish eight-seater table with a couple smaller two-seater tables that are too small for anything more than a single person's coffee and plated food.
The menu looks the same as House of Croissants. When I visited in the late afternoon, they were sold out of sourdough bread.
I want to come back again and try another sandwich on sourdough or dark bread.
All in all, it's nice that this shop has...

So what's the genuine verdict?
My view is that this is a Coffee Club franchise competitor but offering more value. A similar menu but there are subtle differences.
I ordered the full English breakfast and at a reasonable 250 Baht, it's ok.
My mother ordered the omlette with bacon on rice, which was good.
We also ordered a grilled ham and cheese sourdough sandwich. That was the best! Delicious. The other dishes are but a shadow to this big tongue of ham dripping in cheese tucked between crispy sourdough bread.
In conclusion, this was a good choice amongst the many western food style cafes.
I chose this place because the parking is easy. But I can say I am glad to have eaten the grilled ham and cheese...
Read moreAfter living in Hua Hin for four months, we finally decided to try out HOC. The atmosphere is relaxed with a clear Western influence—very comfortable and inviting. Service was polite and quick. We ordered drinks and meals. My wife’s drink came in a nice cup with beautiful foam art, while my iced matcha latte was served in a plastic cup. It tasted good, but the presentation was a bit disappointing compared to hers. The food arrived just as pictured, though my eggs had crème poured over them, which was unexpected. That said, everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, a great spot for the occasional treat to a big western...
