Chalong Beach Front Residence — Hotel in Rawai

I did my research on this and still wholeheartedly feel that this hotel was very much worth the money. It wasn’t super over priced and the room size and location were perfect for being in Chalong. The staff made our stay extra special. They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. We could rent our motorbike directly from them and they gave us lots of recommendations. The BEST Mexican restaurant, Sala Mexicali, was right across the street and a convenient store was located within walking distance. The only downfall to this hotel was that it says it is a beach hotel. Yes, it is beachfront. However, the beach is not beautiful (at the time of year we were there) and most of the time the tide was out all day. So as you lay out in the sun you can enjoy the sound of the crabs clicking as well as the distant view of dirt. A bit disappointing. The pool definitely makes up...

This relatively basic serviced apartment is secluded on the Chalong Bay side of Rawai, Southern Phuket. ||I came here for a short getaway and some quiet time. The price per night is attractive at around usd70. There's a long lap pool in front and a large balcony where you can hear the waves crashing loudly a few meters away, a hypnotizing event. ||The real plus is easy access to 2 amazing restaurants/bars in: Serenity (Restaurant 88) and the Friendship Beach Atmanjai complex, both of which are a stones throw away. ||The beach at low tide is rather awful, and I wouldn't recommend swimming in the bay at high tide: Chalong Bay is a port / harbor. However the surrounding scenery on a clear day is mesmerizing and relaxing.||Note: the Atmanjai Restaurant is an excellent detox spot with a very impressive food and juice menu. The hotel is directly at the beach, we enjoyed the sound of the waves at night. The room was big, with a kitchen and balcony, and very clean. The housekeeping girls did a really good job! We never got to meet the manager during our stay of 4 nights, but he was always reachable via WhatsApp or call. Speaks perfect English, is nice, friendly and willing to help. Kite surfing school is just a 10 min walk or 3 min drive away. Since the beach next to the hotel is not for swimming,renting a scooter is recommended to get to other locations.
