Chom​ Lay​ Seafood — Restaurant in Rawai

The environment was pleasant, although there were quite a few mosquitoes outside. Thankfully, the restaurant provided mosquito repellent spray. We were somewhat surprised to find only a few other diners on Friday evening.

While ordering some seafood, we encountered a communication issue, as the staff's English proficiency was limited. I had intended to order curry crab, but instead was served a steamed crab.

Nevertheless, their seafood sauce was delectable, and the conch was exceptionally...

We ordered a grilled frished from the menu card for 70 Baht per 100 gr. The fish was 700 gr. = 490 Baht was the deal and ok. On the invoice it was 1.490 Baht… 3 times more? The waitress said we never fixed the price but it was mentioned in the card… by the way the fish was too long on the grill and fully try… I don‘t care about it but overcharging me 3 times is very bad… and I ordered a bottle of wine, some starters etc. … never go there, they try to overcharge...

The restaurant has a Nice view, seafood is fresh, but the cooking method is really okay, and the price is not cheap either, the fish is just deep fried with some syrupy sauce and it’s 420thb , the prawns are exactly the same taste , sweet, the mix vegetable stir fry taste like frozen vegetables, sauce also taste sweet, no texture , three dishes and two Chang soda water cost 950thb in the end , wouldn’t recommend , unless you just come here for a drink and...
