A totally FARANG side of tourist area (seen little to non local Thai on the beach). Everyone keeping the beach clean & tidy for family with infants. You'll see western families with months old infants all the time! Surf beach but depends on weather of course! Crystal clear water best for snorkeling.||||Accommodation is worth the price but do expect to walk few minutes to the beach & its a surf beach! Convenient store at reception & they have an open restaurant with bay view. Also power outage happened pretty regular here (overload maybe). Room has insect infestation but easily settle with insect repellent spray. Comfy bed with 2 pillows & a blanket! Towel provided with private bathroom including water heater. Generally a good room with front porch to relax & dry your cloths.||||Very quiet area as it's located further beyond "The Nai Harn" which is a luxury hotel! NaiHarn On The Rock Resort shares the same road (after entering the ONLY ROAD to The Nai Harn, keep left & go straight. You will reach NaiHarn On The Rock Resort just behind The Nai Harn! - even taxi drivers are unsure & most will just drop you off outside The Nai Harn and you'll have to walk in with your luggage/s). They have a small dip-pool (don't think its spacious for the word "SWIM" though lol) and their restaurant was built ON-THE-ROCK (yes you hear them right!). You can climb out to the rock to enjoy the breeze, fishing, photography (i saw few couples came to take wedding pictures) & etc...||||Reception man is the boss (speaks very basic English) but overall staff is helpful & all smiles to help you out! Yachts coming in daily to port far out for surfers & swimmers to enjoy the beach. Many does fishing here On The Rock by the way. There are some shops within reach by foot and Nai Harn Temple (Wat Nai Harn) is just nearby too!||||Should you need printing service, go to reception of All Season Hotel (formerly known Le Meridien) for 10THB a print -i printed my ferry booking here last minute to Koh Phi Phi! Rent a bike to explore further if you wish. Taxi station by the beach for your service but I been using Vecay Transport few times (with Toyota Altis) & cost cheaper than tuktuk/taxi by 30-60% depending on your location & destination. still the cheapest...
Read moreThe receptionist was extremely rude. My experience wasn’t pleasant at all, and I wasn’t safe setting in this place the safety was drained. I paid for 4 nights and checked out earlier. Even if you want to save money in your trip don’t choose this place unless you can handle aggressiveness and rudeness and it’s not worth it. They are cheap so do the receptionist./ Reply to your incorrect comment. I attached here the fake receipt and I was able to pay it and I did not postpone anything. Also they charge me for a spare part that I did not make and was there already thanks god I have a picture of it. And since you have a cctv system, please check when your rudest receptionist tried to hit me when I was talking to the motorbike owner and discussed with her. Not to mention that I reported to the tourist police officer then they start to make an agreement and include the discount 😊
Again, reply to you false information, I wasn’t asking for discount I was asking for the official receipt from the store who sent the technician to check on the bike with the official logo and uniform. But as you can see attached it’s not official so you charged more ☺️. That’s lead also to say that your stuff was concerned more about the money and calling me when I was in the hospital for checkups but obviously my health wasn’t the priority. Thank you 😊
For more transparency I add the photo of the broken plastic so people would see it’s worth that...
Read moreThe first room we checked into was bare bones, small, hard bed, and had a tiny bathroom that stunk. The bathroom smelled so bad we asked to change rooms the second day and were upgraded to a “master suite” which was larger and had a bigger bathroom that didn’t’ smell as bad. It contained a refrigerator, TV, and small table with two chairs, and most importantly air conditioning. The bed was much softer. Good WIFI connection. We were also provided with two towels, soap and shampoo. It has a balcony to hang out in and enjoy all the views but you may need to make friends with your neighbors since there isn't much privacy. There is a small pool to cool off from the heat. We enjoyed most of our meals at their restaurant which offered a good variety at cheap prices, although the portions are a bit small, everything we ate was delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's mini mart next to the restaurant which also functions as the reception. Finding the hotel is a bit tricky, you do have to pass the Nai Harn Resort's driveway and then go to the mini mart to check in. It's a bit of steep climb to get to the rooms, but they did offer to help with our luggage. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. There's also a lake nearby where we saw a few running laps. We enjoyed an evening walk around it. Overall, we enjoyed our three...
