Read moreMy stay at the Nasa Vegas Hotel was an absolute nightmare that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The experience was marred by the shockingly rude, ignorant, and uneducated Thai staff who made it clear that guests are more of a nuisance than anything else. From the moment I checked in, it was obvious that hospitality was not a priority at this establishment.
The room conditions were atrocious—broken air conditioning, barely functional WiFi, and a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly. To make matters worse, the room was infested with cockroaches. The noise from the nearby railway was incessant, and with the walls as thin as paper, it felt like I was trying to sleep on the tracks themselves.
But the worst part was the disturbing scene on the guest floor I stayed on, specifically the 16th floor. There were clearly intoxicated or drugged individuals wandering the halls, some with their pants literally falling down. These individuals were so incapacitated that they couldn’t even find their way to their rooms or manage to open their doors. It was terrifying to witness, and the hotel staff seemed completely indifferent to the safety and comfort of their guests. This kind of behavior should never be tolerated, let alone in a hotel that claims to offer even basic accommodations.
To make matters worse, when I requested to speak to the manager, I was informed that they were not available. The staff took my number, promising a callback, but more than a week has passed, and I haven’t heard a single word from the management. This lack of accountability is appalling, especially considering I spent 16 nights here.
On August 29th, 14 days into our stay, housekeeping finally turned up at 2 PM despite us requesting service since 7 AM. The Thai cleaners were incredibly rude, grumpy, and completely unprofessional. They asked us to leave the room with no smile or courtesy, as if we were the ones inconveniencing them. Housekeeping was consistently late throughout our stay. Additionally, while we were waiting for the rude housekeeping staff to finish, another guest was loudly talking on speakerphone in a foreign language. This woman was incessantly loud, adding to the already unbearable situation. The lack of any consideration for other guests’ comfort was appalling.
On top of everything, there’s no laundry service available at the hotel, no coin-operated washing machines, and no laundry facilities within 2 km of the hotel. This made it extremely inconvenient, especially for a long stay. Even worse, the hotel is situated on a busy road, making it incredibly dangerous to cross just to get anywhere nearby. The overall lack of basic amenities and consideration for guest safety is shocking.
The Burmese staff were marginally better, but they were not enough to salvage this disaster of a hotel. The restaurant served inedible food, and the room lacked even basic amenities like slippers and tissues. It’s clear that the management does not care about the well-being of their guests or maintaining any semblance of decency.
In short, stay far away from the Nasa Vegas Hotel. This place is a health hazard and a safety risk, and there are plenty of better, safer...
Read moreNASA Bangkok Hotel is located right by Ramkamhaeng Airport Link, which some may find convenient to get to/from Suvarnabhumi airport and connect to MRT or BTS. It's connected by a skybridge but you'll have to go up and down to get to the station.Personally I still found the location too out of the way for public transportation -- the first 2 days my evening commute was 1hour+ coming from more central areas like Siam or Prom Phong. However, I was staying during Songkran week, so that would've added to the congestion on trains. I ended up just taking a Grab bike everywhere because it was much faster and more convenient.I got a free upgrade to Deluxe room with 1 double bed. It has the basics like soap, shampoo, bar soap, towels, 2 water bottles every day, AC, fridge. If you want a hair dryer you can ask the employees. Cleanliness was average, it's an old hotel so there's wear and tear.Beware neighbors can be a bit noisy since it's a big hotel filled with foreign tourists. There's a hotel restaurant but I didn't bother checking it out. Neighborhood has some a few nice cafes, etc and a market. I recommend Sunny House Coffee for a nice breakfast under 100 baht. The busy intersection can be a pain to cross on foot, but have patience. The most important pros are simply the price point. As a solo traveler who doesn't feel comfortable staying in dorms/hostels with strangers, you can't beat 570 baht a night for a private room during high season. Other than that, the employees who clean the rooms were very helpful and kind when I needed anything. Honestly made my stay.Overall, if you're just looking for a place to sleep at night, OK with average cleanliness and traveling a bit longer to get to central areas, then NASA strikes...
