EDOYA Restaurant — Restaurant in Bang Kapi Subdistrict

BEWARE: TOURISTS NOT WELCOME!

We came in and the lady working in the restaurant saw us but turned away immediately with a grim expression on her face - she didn't even say hello, didn't even look at us then. After a minute she brought over the menues, placing them on the table with an icecold attitude, without saying a word and with an annoyed expression on her face. We had just looked at the menue for literally one minute when she came back to take the order without saying a word again, just staring at us in an annoyed and angry manner again - we were obviously not ready. I asked her politely if we could get another few minutes to look at the menue. She looked even more annoyed now and walked away without saying a word. I never felt so unwelcomed in a restaurant in my entire life. Probably it's because we are tourists, I can't imagine any other reason. We are two young and polite students, were appropriately dressed and behaved politely all the way. I'm actually sad that I found this restaurant on my last night here. It was absolutely wonderful, the food was amazing, the people working there were so kind and helpful.
