Blue Rabbit Phuket — Hotel in Talat Nuea

We found this place at an affordable price and location is overall good. 5 mins from the old town with scooter where u can find bars, clubs, restaurants etc. Jacuzzi in every room which is great! Shampoo and hand soap in big bottles instead of the tiny ones that are so unsustainable. Hotel looks brand new with modern decoration. The receptionist doesn't speak a word of english. There's no one at the reception desk most of the time. We asked the receptionist for a late checkout and she just pointed at a phone number written on a label and we tried everything but couldn't contact the number on whatsapp. We tried all the numbers provided on google maps or booking or on the hotel's entrance. Bed sheets had stains on them. There are no elevators so you have to carry your luggage all the way with the stairs. We had a room on the 2nd floor and one on the 4th floor. The room on the 2nd floor only had a jacuzzi, no shower and the toilet didn't have a door. So for 2 people that are not a couple, and not related is very inconvenient. The room on the 4th floor had a shower and toilet that had a door, as well as a jacuzzi. Alles in allem eine ziemliche Katastrophe! Als wir ins Zimmer kamen, hat es ziemlich doll nach Abfluss gerochen. Die Bettlaken waren sehr dreckig, allerdings haben die Handtücher erstaunlich gut nach frischer Wäsche gerochen. Die 1. Nacht war schrecklich, ich bin sehr oft wegen juckenden Stellen aufgewacht. Als ich dann irgendwann das Licht angemacht habe, habe ich ÜBERALL (IM Bett, am Bett, am Schrank, vor der Tür etc.) Ameisen gesehen. (Diese Art überträgt anscheinend schlimme Krankheiten, ob das stimmt, keine Ahnung aber egal wie sollten keine Tiere im Bett sein egal ob gefährlich oder nicht!) Mein Freund ist sofort runter an die Rezeption wo Tag und Nacht die gleiche Dame ist die kein Deutsch, Englisch und Thailändisch spricht, sie hat sich das Zimmer angeschaut und nur die Schultern gezuckt. (Scheint wohl normal zu sein) Sie wollte das Zimmer reinigen, darüber mussten wir nachdenken, normal bringt eine Reinigung ja nicht all zu viel wenn man den Grund der Ameisenstraße nicht kennt… ich habe dann parallel der Besitzerin über Aribnb wo wir gebucht haben, geschrieben. Sie fragte uns ob wir im Zimmer gegessen haben (natürlich nicht!) und das die Dame das Zimmer sauber machen soll, stornieren können wir die 2 gebuchten Nächte nicht und wir haben halt Pech gehabt. Danach haben wir die Dame gebeten unser Zimmer nun doch zu reinigen. Wir sind essen gegangen und als wir wieder gekommen sind, war einfach nur unser Bett gemacht mit dem gleichen Bezug wie davor. Da wir mit dem Rucksack unterwegs sind und eine low budget Reise machen konnten wir uns zu diesem Zeitpunkt leider kein anderes Zimmer leisten. (Zudem war auch keins mehr frei) Es gab also keine andere Lösung als noch eine Nacht zu bleiben. Wir haben das komplette Zimmer abgesucht, keine Ameisen mehr da. Ich bin wieder sehr oft wegen Jucken aufgewacht, wieder das Licht angemacht und wieder überall Ameisen… Unser Fazit: NIE WIEDER!!! Stinkt, dreckig und Ungeziefer im Bett - danke für nichts!

P. s. Zu Fuß läuft man ca 15 min in die Altstadt was gut ist ABER man ist mitten im...

The hotel is newly refurbished and my room was clean and comfortable, though a fridge and a cattle would be nice, there is no safe either. The mattress is very firm, I like it, but do note. The hotel has no elevator and there isn't usually someone in reception (forget about coming early and leaving your bags. The area is not so family friendly, and not very close to old town.
