Would highly recommend this hotel (and most likely return to stay in future when I visit Bangkok again!)

What I like about this hotel: (a) Right next to National Stadium BTS (b) And cos of (a), you can also easily access the skyway linking the various malls such as MBK, Siam Discovery, BACC, Siamscape (to Siam Square & walking street) (c) Just 2 to 3 mins walk to TWO 7-elevens - one at lobby of ibis hotel which is right next to Krit Thai Residence and the other just a stone's throw away - and a McDonald's (d) 5 mins walk a Lotus Hypermart - which I highly recommend you to check out to stock up on water/alcohol/beverages, fruits (VERY fresh), instant noodles, snacks, etc - things are way cheaper and offers a wider selection compared to 7-elevens and other supermarkets. There's also several restaurants and a sizeable foodcourt too! (e) Super hospitable, professional, friendly, helpful and accommodating staff - shoutout to the housekeeping staff and security guard uncle who never fail to greet us with warm smiles! Love them! (f) Comfortable bed and pillows! (g) Super quiet even though the hotel is beside the BTS - I am a light sleeper but I can barely hear any noise from outside! (h) Lots of fabulous food places (especially at and around Stadium One which is opposite Lotus Hypermart) and amazing street food vendors lining the road in front of the hotel every night! (i) There's a small restaurant cum bar at the hotel's lobby offering local cuisines, wines and light bites as well! (j) A large rooftop garden with amazing sunrise and sunset views! Plenty of lounge chairs for you to relax or suntan. It's a pity that the garden deck was rather under-utilized! (k) Damn easy to get hold of a Grab or Taxi - less chances of encountering Grab drivers who cancel on you due to the peak hour jams!

What I wish can be improved for a better experience: (a) The aircon in the room - 701 - which I stayed in for 4 nights was rather noisy tho I did not feedback to the staff since I was still able to sleep restfully! (b) The main entrance to the lobby isn't on ground level - you need to climb a staircase up - which can be a chore or tiring after a day out shopping or sightseeing! But you can always walk alittle more to the hotel's carpark to access the lift there to the lobby if you are carrying luggages or bulky items (c) Mainly Thai TV Channels - I know you don't fly to Bangkok just to watch television! But I REALLY really hope the hotel management can look into increasing the variety of channels available! Currently about 70% of the channels are local/Thai, 20% in Chinese and just 10% in English??? Like WHUT?!! It'd definitely be better if there are MORE English channels available! (d) There were some unsightly stains on the sofa in the room, bathroom doors as well as the couch in the lobby. I also discovered a teabag underneath the couch in my room on Day 1 and it was still there on my last day :)) (e) Small and (kind of) slow...

Superb place! I stayed in a 4pax room (2 King beds) and it was really comfortable. The layout of the room is cosy and you won't feel too cramped. As you enter the 2 beds will be at your right (placing may differ from other rooms) and the TV to your left. It is a somewhat U-shaped room. The end-point of the room is the bathroom and they provided 2 bathing spots (1 is a rain shower and deeper in would be a bathtub and a sink and mirror, separated with a door). I did not place much emphasis on view but if you like picturesque scenery, there's no guarantee. The corridor is well lit. There is only 1 elevator provided and the ground floor leads to a very small open carpark (roofed but faces the street directly). 1st floor is the lobby and also the restaurant. The hotel is right beside Mercure Hotel which has a 7 Eleven so there was easy access to food and other necessities (5 minutes walk or less). The hotel provided a buffet breakfast and there were some local delicacies like Thai green curry (my favourite and highly recommended) and stir fried Thai noodles. The cooking and setting were very homely and all of them were delicious. There are no partitions between the lobby and the restaurant which were very close to each other so guests checking in or out would be able to see the other guests eating at the restaurant. The receptionists and staff were polite, can speak English well and provided assistance as much as they could. They provided advice on time alloted for travelling to airports and so on. The location of the hotel was nearby MBK shopping centre, Tesco Lotus and a BTS station so it was very convenient to do some last minute souvenir shopping and transport. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok and it was a very...

Pros:

Friendly and accommodating staff, always welcomed us back when we arrived at the hotel.

Excellent housekeeping. Though there were days when we left the hotel room late around 1pm, housekeeping still made sure our room was neat and tidy. They also constantly changed the towels and added more water bottles and toiletries in our room.

Powerful aircon. Bangkok's heat is unforgiving, a strong aircon is a must. The aircon in the room can get so cold that condensation starts to form outside on the windows.

Comfortable beds. Very comfortable beds, pillows and duvet blankets, we had very good sleep.

Superb location. This is the biggest plus point. At the entrance of the hotel is the escalator up to National Stadium station. The hotel is also walking distance to nearby shopping malls like MBK centre. There are also 7-11s nearby.

Cons:

There is only ONE lift. The lift is also very small in size. If you are a large group with large luggage, you might have to make multiple trips. If there are other people, you will have to wait as well. This is the biggest drawback. By design, there should have been two lifts for redundancy purposes as well. I am not sure what would happen if that single lift breaks down.

There is no drop off point along the main street. The lack of drop off point along the main street pales in comparison the neighboring ibis hotel, that had a nice pick up point infront of the entrance.

Overall, still an excellent stay. It is cosy and very comfortable. The location outweighs any of the cons. I would recommend it and would stay here...

Location: There’s an escalator to National Stadium BTS station right in front of the property. However, you would not be able to access the skywalk from it. Room: We booked the Luxury Triple Room. I requested for a high floor and we were placed at 6th floor. It was near the main road but as a deep sleeper, I didn’t mind the noise and never woke up to it. The size was enough for three persons. There was space for luggages, a desk/vanity table, and a single chair with leg rest. The bathroom was small but functional. Loved their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash scent that we ended up looking for it in the mall but only found room scent/perfumes of Donna Chang. Even the breakfast was not buffet style, the choices were enough that I tried three variations over four breakfasts. The servings were also generous with a fruit and salad on the side. Aaand, they were very kind to prepare our breakfast 30 minutes earlier than their breakfast schedule on our last day because we needed to leave early for our morning flight. Everyone was helpful even the security personnel. I read a review that they were thrown from the taxi immediately upon arrival to the property because there was no proper lobby, and all road/street. But they have a parking area that also serves as pick up/drop off point for taxi/Grab. Bonus there’s a Filipino staff!
