Ordered shirts from this shop and the entire experience was disappointing. For the shirts, they were all ultimately shorter than what I preferred despite me highlighting this during the fitting. I am not sure why this was not rectified / remedied, as that is the whole point of having a fitting in the first place.

The timeline for completion of the shirts was also not conveyed to me consistently. I was told during the actual fitting to collect the shirts the following day instead. However, the shirts were still not ready for collection which resulted in me making a wasted trip down to the shop. This could have been easily avoided if I was notified in advance, which was not done.

This then lead to the worst part of the entire experience, which was the delivery of the shirts to my hotel. The shirts had been delivered to the wrong location, and the staff were unsympathetic and provided a terrible level of customer service.

Instead of assisting immediately (eg by offering to contact the delivery person) they initially kept asking me to double check with my hotel, despite me already repeating multiple times that I had done so and that the hotel had not received the shirts. They also rudely cut me off and spoke over me multiple times over the phone, asking me to confirm matters and check with my hotel before going back to them to avoid creating a “stressful situation”. They also mentioned that I would need to bear any re delivery charge, if they do manage to contact the delivery person. Their unsympathetic tone was extremely unhelpful and made the situation even more stressful on my end, especially since the delivery was arranged by the tailors in the first place and I have zero control over the process.

The tailors also asked me and my hotel to go around the surrounding the buildings to look for the package as it was likely delivered to a wrong building in close proximity to my hotel. As a tourist in a foreign country in an unfamiliar location, it is unreasonable to expect me to go around the various buildings looking for my package, especially since neither me nor my hotel was responsible for the wrong delivery. Further, it would be easier to conduct a search with more information from the tailors on where the delivery person dropped the package. However, when asked for updates on this, they responded that they could not contact the delivery person, and even told me they were busy with other appointments to attend and their meals. When asked what would happen if the shirts can’t be found, they told me to “keep positive” and to “worry about that then”, and gave no further assurance on what else they could do for me in this worst case scenario.

Ultimately, when the shirts were found by my hotel in a different building (through my own hotel’s resourcefulness/assistance), the tailors offered zero apology/assurance on the situation, and merely stated that they had already asked me to look at the surrounding buildings and that they couldn’t contact the delivery person.

All in all, this was a really disappointing experience with Mac that resulted in the trip ending on a sour note. Would not be returning.

Following this review, the shop initially reached out offering a refund and apologising for the wasted trip. However, they subsequently deleted the message and when I asked them about the refund, they replied by saying “congrats on such a great game” and asking me to bring back the shirts to Bangkok in order to get the refund. This message and their accusation that I am playing a game to get a refund was extremely rude and insulting, and further shows how appalling their customer service is. Flew into Bangkok to spend 5 days there specifically to have a suit tailor made. Harri and Nick worked with me to provide me with an amazing experience. Start to finish everything was easy and straight forward. They explained the different materials as well as the colours and how well they all worked together to me, they talked me through all my different options and possibilities for additions to the suit. They were both friendly and easy to talk to and get along with, they made the whole situation easy and fun. When it came to price they gave me a great price for what was in the end a truly quality suit. Not only this but they gave me great advice on where to go and eat while staying in bangkok. I have been a customer of Mac for 10 years now. I have never been to his actual shop; instead he has been visiting Australia for professional tailoring since before I met him. In the decade I have known him, Mac has tailored 30-40 items for me, all with perfect fit and finish. He has tailored several suits for me, a dozen or more trousers in different styles and fabrics, many business, casual and linen shirts, as well as ties. I cannot recommend Mac highly enough for his service, attention to detail, fabric selection and keen eye for all the small details. Plus he's a really nice guy.
