We read all of the great reviews on this place and decided we wanted to give it a go. My boyfriend, his family, and I are staying up the street and so my boyfriend and I went down to order for take away (aka to go) for our party of 9. When we arrived, we were one of three tables, and the other two tables were finishing up their meals. The waitress was friendly and polite and said that our big order was no problem. We were very excited to take our food back and eat.
We had plans to buy snacks for the 3 kids on our trip at the Family Mart a couple of doors down but only brought a limited amount of cash so we asked the waitress for the check - we figured we could grab the snacks while we waited. The place had started to fill up but the waitress said it was okay.
We waited for ten minutes. No food, no check.
We waited for twenty minutes. No food, no check.
We waited for thirty minutes. No food, no check.
We waited for forty minutes. No food, no check.
My boyfriend at this point asked the waitress what was going on, as we had waited over 45 minutes for our food and our check, all while watching four other tables get sat and served their food. The waitress told us that our food was almost ready, only to come to our table five minutes later to say that there was some confusion in the kitchen and that it would be twenty more minutes...which would put our total wait time at OVER AN HOUR.
Completely disappointing. We cancelled our order and they still charged us for the water that was provided to us as we waited. The waitress, at the last second, cut that cost in half because she felt so bad.
I don't know. The waitress was consistently very nice and I don't blame this on her at all, but they could have told us what was going on. We are trying to get 9 people (including ourselves!) fed. This whole experience was quite disappointing in our very limited amount of time...
Read moreStayed across the road at the Pullman, and have been eating at restaurants across Phuket and Patong for the last 6 nights. Wanted to try new places so went to the Treetop restaurant. I ordered Thai red curry after a recommendation from the hostess and I have eaten this for several meals in other authentic Thai restaurants during my stay, however to my surprise when the green curry attached, (you can judge for yourselves) turned up I questioned why it looked and tasted like a green curry. The response I got was “I am Thai this is a Thai red curry I don’t know what others have been giving you.” I didn’t care that the colour of the curry was green, but was irritated that it clearly tasted like a green curry…not a red curry. There was no effort or room to listen or acknowledge what I was saying about the flavour, just a blind insistence that it was indeed a Thai red curry. The rest of the food tasted fine and the GREEN CURRY also tasted fine, my issue was with the fact that they didn’t care that they had delivered the wrong order and charged me for it. I won’t be returning in my last few nights here, and can recommend the Panwa Cafe or Ratanalee which are both literally a 45...
Read moreAs much as we wanted to like this place,it was a terrible experience. When we arrived there were only two people seated. We let the server know we would be ordering a big take away (take out) order and she said it was okay. We ordered enough for 8 people and sat patiently, for 35 minutes. While we waited, four tables were now seated and had their entrees. I waited 10 more minutes and then asked the server if the food was ready. She said it was almost ready, I explained we had waited 45 minutes. After returning to my seat she explained that they were backed up and it would take an additional 20 minutes. We canceled the order and were charged for our two waters we drank while waiting. If you value your time, walk up the street to Secret Cape Cafe. Quick service with a huge...
