Friday 11th October - Friday 18th 2024 I booked this hotel literally 6 days before we flew out, total last minute so had no idea what to expect, I didn't read reviews, I went with an open mind, as any other all inclusive hotels I have been to in many parts of the world have been a let down, I needed a rest and someone else to look after us for a change. The green Park palace did not let us down! From the moment we stepped off the bus we were greeted by Rami who took our bags to a secure luggage room as we were on a very early flight and couldn't check into our room till 2pm, this wasn't an issue for us, reception gave us our AI wristbands and welcomed us, changed into "holiday clothes" in the large reception ladies room and went to the pool and got lunch, got our bearings and went back at 2 clock, our room was ready, I had paid for an upgraded room just to give us more room and a view onto the golf course (for the hubby) the room was beautiful all white tiled floors, spacious, huge beds, air conditioning, free safe box,wow clean! That's one thing I cannot fault this hotel, it was amazingly clean! Yes, The carpets are worn in the corridors and in need of replacing but imagine how your carpet at home would look if you had thousands of guests day in day out with all sorts, so give them a break, it's a dirty carpet, get over it, every other part of this hotel was immaculate, every single part, our room was serviced to a high standard every day, the maids work very hard (in that heat) and may not service your room till later in the day. All other areas of the hotel were sparkling clean, cleaned throught the whole day, you could do your makeup in the lobby floor it's that shiny!! My partner is a chef here in Scotland so always very dubious about all inclusive hotels, the food standards and hygiene, but even he was well impressed with the setup of the food, buffet style/help yourself. not many all inclusive hotels cook right in front of you, green Park has all the chefs in there stations cooking what your eating, your watching it being made! Doesn't come any better than that for us, what they had to offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing, my 15year old "fussy eater" tried sooooo many different foods, things she would never dream of eating here, so for that alone I thank you, that was the biggest worry that my child would starve, but she really enjoyed the food and it was top quality, the only complaint I would have about the food was the "mash potatoes" too mashy, but we can make them at home, I wasn't there to eat chicken n mash. anyway, the Tunisia food is amazing, beautiful healthy breakfasts, lunches and dinners all week, it's good healthy food, so maybe not for everyones tastes knowing how much everyone loves a McDonald's! There is also a "snack area" open through the afternoon, I never had to use it, but again a beautiful open area behind the pool if you happen to miss lunch or breakfast, I think it's open till 5pm. Our family are not big on alcohol, I had maybe 4 vodkas the whole holiday so I can't comment on the alcohol, it tastes like vodka n coke, it gets you drunk like vodka and coke, but definitely not Smirnoff, local alcohol, there is premium spirits like grey goose but you do have to pay for them. Service in the restaurant is amazing very attentive, quick, the waiters get to know you, they have your drinks ready on your table knowing roughly what time you'll be there, big thanks to Wassim, Nouri, Alaya, both of the Mohammeds, Khamis and Morad for looking after us xx The main reason I booked this hotel was for the spa, Abdel who you will see walking about taking bookings for the spa is a lovely man, I would highly recommend the 2 or even 3 day package, you can choose to suit what you need, for 3 people for all the treatments we received and the amazing experience in "the hammam" was an amazing price (well less than uk) go on treat yourself, it's an experience in itself, a big thankyou to Miriam and sabina for making me feel like a new woman again.....love you lots and so does my body 3 m

The hotel hasn´t had reusable cups at the pool until 1.6.2024. ON the 1.6. they brought the reusable cups to the pool area but this could have been done sooner! Very big hotel and I believe it is the best in Port el Kantoui. The hotel is very clean and everyone tries to keep it so. But it has its time so some things seem to have changed already. Some spots on the carpets are not that big of a problem for me. It's a nice garden here and the gardeners make a hard Job. There are also not a lot of ants outside so far. Regarding temperature I believe Djerba or Zarzis must have more warmer and sunnier days. Reception is sometimes confused but that's alright. But what I don't find good is that they speak very little English or foreign languages at all. Difficult to communicate. Also if you want to change the money standard is that you will not receive a receipt and ask you to come later. This is unacceptable for me. The waiters are doing a hard Job so I believe it's a plus point for them. Just when I ordered Cuba Libre at the bar I expected coke and rum and not vodka instead. This is not Cuba Libre sorry :( Animation is in Tunesian standard I would say. They have no volleybal place there, which is a big disadvantage for me as I like it very much. A lot of equipment that they have or are working with is old and should be replaced (fe. the NET on the goal - water polo game). Also I would expect to have more music at the pool. Is like 20 minutes a day when doing some activities like club dance. The food is, as I read a lot of reviews and was worried, quite tasty. A lot of desserts and salads and I mean always you have a choice to eat something good. Just a very Big disappointment were scrambled eggs. It's very watery. Not good. Also they don't put a lot of salt into food as we are used to in Europe. You can eat at A LA Carte. Is alright but there could be better options to choose from. Starting 29.5 the outside snack bar started. The room is nice but the water smells a little bit like if you’re at the dentist. On the 1.6 the air conditioning in the room will be able to start to cool the room. There is also a free safe in the room which is a good thing. Wi-Fi is strong enough like in 20% of all rooms and in the rest you can sometimes connect on the toilet just for email check but otherwise you have to visit the lobby. Here the Wi-Fi is very strong. A lot of cabs are on the road along the hotel as the horses. A lot of small shops as this is the main street. Everyone is a bit annoying to talk to you as they want you to buy something but yeah that's everywhere. Maybe the best way is to tell them I have no money or hablo español as this language they don't speak. They know a lot of english, german, polish.

Disappointing Stay – Not the Relaxing break we hoped for... We came to this resort for a relaxing family holiday to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday in advance, but unfortunately, it fell well short of expectations. Cleanliness & Facilities: The rooms were not clean upon arrival, and there was a general lack of upkeep throughout the resort. There was no snack bar available, which made it difficult, especially with children. Food & Dining: The food was consistently cold, which was particularly disappointing for the kids. We were told to book dinner 24 hours in advance, but were not informed that the restaurant only opened on Wednesdays. When I mentioned this to the tall , young guy on reception (slick back hair) he didn't care and said it's not his job to give me all the information (sorry but isn't that your job????) This guy was so rude and arrogant. On Saturday, we missed out on lunch entirely as all the food was gone by the time we arrived. There was no snack bars at all during meals - even though it was advertised as having a snack bar. Atmosphere & Comfort: During our stay, large groups of local men arrived and dominated the resort, particularly the swimming pool area, which made us very uncomfortable – especially as we were a group of girls. The environment became increasingly loud and rowdy, especially in the evenings when many guests became heavily intoxicated, disrupting the entertainment and making the atmosphere unpleasant. Positives: The only real highlight was the animation team – they were enthusiastic and worked hard to keep guests entertained. The restaurant waiters were also lovely and worked very hard to keep up with everything. The main young guy in the animation team was great - he made the kids trip so enjoyable. Overall: This was not the relaxing, celebratory trip we had planned. While there were a few standout staff members, the overall experience was disappointing and we wouldn’t return. To top it all when I complained to the assistant hotel manager - she said she was sorry but I should have told her sooner. But it's not like they could kick out the 100's of local men for the conference. She said she could sort me out an upgrade next time i stay - but why would I want to come back after such a terrible stay. They should have offered us money back.

Abdel who you will see walking about taking bookings for the spa is a lovely man, I would highly recommend the 2 or even 3 day package, you can choose to suit what you need, for 3 people for all the treatments we received and the amazing experience in "the hammam" was an amazing price (well less than uk) go on treat yourself, it's an experience in itself, a big thankyou to Miriam and sabina for making me feel like a new woman again.....love you lots and so...

I write this review with pain in my chest, I like Tunisia as a culture, people but I also have responsibility towards the truth: 1- Kids cannot have Food out of the feeding hours. So basically if your kids skip one of the 3 serving times then they are out of luck finding food anywhere. 2- We were never allowed to bring friends into the hotel even if we paid for them 3- you are Not allowed to change your mind about the table you are eating on, if you feel the heat or its way too smoky .. don’t move or the waiter will embarrass the hell out of you in public. They don’t want to clean more than one table per group. (This happened with me and my family) 4- No transportation is allowed into the hotel... 150 meter walk from the gate, kids that sleep in the car in the way to the hotel should be woken up and walk around 150 to 200 meters ( Happened with us) 5- Cheapest quality of wine and Alcohol in general - guaranteed headache and ulcer every night and morning. 6- you have to wake up at 5 AM to book a reasonably decent location near the pool or else spend the day throwing money on waiters and begging them to find you a place. 7- if you don’t like the Fatty food on the buffet table (basically fatty fried meat and lots of potato and cheap bread) you are out of luck for food. Food menu is exactly the same every day, and no standards whatsoever, what is very salty one day is with no salt whatsoever the next day 8- Hotel offer no baby-sitting, and does not allow you to bring a baby sitter from outside on your own dime ... even if you offer to pay for an extra hotel room for the baby sitter .. so never think of leaving the hotel if you have kids. (Happened with us) 9- No Pool guards whatsoever 10- The Hotel manager and his assistant will never talk to you if you have complaints. Both “Yassin and Mabrook” Rather they will send somebody (Ayman Saffi in this case) to tell you that basically you are out of luck.. of course you are fully prepaid and fully stuck by then. (Happened with us when we requested to talk to the general manager on duty or his assistant) 11- Room Aircondition is set to 25 C, no matter what you do. Hot days, cold days it is 25 C.. deal with it. (Economical for hotel management) 12- Internet connectivity is almost non existing everywhere and it’s advertised as “ High speed WiFi is Included” 13- Beach is very dirty, sun-beds are fully booked at all times 14- The pool is very dirty, My daughter woke up the 3rd day with a sever ear infection. And when we visited a local Pediatrician, we were told it is “a water bacteria usually from dirty swimming pools” 15- The management idea of Public Air-conditioning, is to keep the doors open so the outside air run into the building corridors. On August 13th and exactly at 10:54 PM a western man between the age of 57-62 who appeared to be heavily drunk, started to dance while a Saxophone player was playing outdoor. Stage was full of families and kids. The man was completely intoxicated.. all tourists started to notice and become concerned about his safety and that of their kids who were dancing around him .. I asked the waiters to call security so they can protect him from falling on the ground or on others .. waiters did not want to take responsibility fearing consequences.. the man Kept in wiggling between the tables breaking some and pushing others ... Myself and 2 other men felt obligated to help and end the Fiasco safely, so we jumped and moved the man to the pool area and got him to lay down on one of the pool beds. After that I went and asked for help, I asked the hotel staff if they can take the man to his room so he can sleep peacefully and maintain safety .. they all apologized fearing consequences from management. Finally I have to mention the Great people that we have encountered are: Zainab kids instructor and her support, very caring and professional, Hassan the bar tender, professional and curious, Mido and the entire entertainment team. The housekeeping team. Also a dark skinned smily Tunisian bar-tender...
