Bongusto — Restaurant in Maghreb

كنت في ذاك الميدان مساء يوم 30 جوان 2025. جاءني رجل عربي كبير في السن وكان وقحًا، وغضب مني لأني ما حبيتش نقعد وناكل في مطعمو. بكل احترام، هززت راسي وقلتلو: "لا، شكراً". لكن الراجل هذا بدا يصرخ عليا (وعلى صاحبتي) ويشكي ويقول إنو احنا السياح نجيوا فقط في رحلات "شاملة" وندوروا في الشوارع برك.

سؤالي هو: شنو دخلو هو في كيفاش نصرف فلوسي الخاصة؟ ما عنديش الحق نتمشى؟ أنا كنت ضيف من أوروبا، لكن حسّيت روحي كي الغريب.

نحب نضيف حاجة: تقريبًا نص ساعة قبل الحادثة، اشترينا هدايا وتذكارات لعائلاتنا من الميناء. واحنا نشريوا، تأكدنا إنو المنتوجات مصنوعة في تونس باش يستفيدوا الحرفيين والتجّار المحليين. وزادة، وقت خرجنا من النزل، خلّصنا كراهب تاكسي محلية، ودفعنا معاليم الدخول للمواقع السياحية التونسية، وخلّينا "بقشيش" كي الناس تعاونتنا. وحتى وإحنا نتمشوا، اشترينا ماكلة خفيفة ومشروبات من الحوانت والكراهب الصغيرة.

ومع هذا، في آخر نهار لينا، تقريبًا تصرخنا راجل كبير وما عندوش احترام، خاطر برك قلنا “لا، شكرا” على العشا في مطعمو. كانت تجربة صادمة وخلات فيّا إحساس خايب برشة. لدرجة إني ما نحبش نرجع. هذي كانت زيارتي الأولى والأخيرة لتونس. وزيد، ما باش نوصي حتى حد بيها، بل بالعكس، باش نقنع الناس ما يمشيوش، خاطر تصرفات ناس طماعين وقليلي الاحترام كيما الراجل هذا تخرّب كل شي.

I was at that square on the evening of June 30, 2025. Some aging, rude Arab man got upset with me for not wanting to sit down and eat at his restaurant. I simply shook my head politely and said, “No, thank you.” And then this insolent guy started yelling at me (and at my girlfriend), complaining that we tourists just come here on all-inclusive trips and only walk around. Here’s my questions: what business is it of his how I spend MY OWN MONEY? Am I not allowed to go for a walk? I was a guest from Europe there, yet I felt like an intruder. Let me just add that about 30 minutes before this happened, we had bought souvenirs and gifts for our families at the port. While shopping, we made sure the products were genuinely made in Tunisia so that local entrepreneurs and artisans could benefit. Also, when we travelled outside the hotel, we paid for local taxis. We also paid entrance fees to Tunisian tourist attractions. We left tips when someone helped us. While sightseeing, we bought snacks and drinks at local shops and stands. And yet on our last day, we were nearly shouted at by some disrespectful old man just because we politely declined to eat at his restaurant. It was a very upsetting experience. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’ll never go back. This was my first and last visit to Tunisia. What’s more, I won’t recommend it to anyone – in fact, I’ll actively discourage others from going, precisely because of the behaviour of greedy, rude...

A éviter ! Désolé mais j’ai demandé 3 fois une bouteille d’eau … et je n’ai rien eu, j’ai eu le regard de la serveuse avec le bandana NARUTO, mais rien. J’ai perdu ma soif. Pour parler de ma crêpe au chocolat je vous la déconseille, pour la couper on dirait du plastique mais bon vu le prix … je ne m’attendais pas à grand chose. Ma mère a aimer sa glace … je l’ai gouté mais sans plus. Ma soeur a pris un jus d’orange « frais » mais c’était bien chaud. Je veux juste féliciter le gérant de ce restaurant qui lui fait un travail formidable malheureusement la relève...

Ich kann die Negativ-Erfahrungen nicht teilen. Das Essen war genauso wie in den meisten Restaurants in der Nähe, die wesentlich teurer sind. Nichts Besonderes, aber gut und günstig. Für ein Hähnchensandwich, Cola (0,25l), Wasser und Espresso habe ich 13 Dinar (ca. 4,50 €, Stand August 2023) bezahlt. Die Atmosphäre ist die eines einfachen Imbisses in Deutschland, die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Verglichen mit anderen Essgelegenheiten am Hafen:...
